RENO, Nev. -- Nevada is still the new kid on the block when it comes to early-state status in the presidential race. But this year, the state could play a pivotal role on both sides.
With the Democratic caucuses approaching on Feb. 20, followed by the Republican caucuses on Feb. 23, both contests have become increasingly intense, especially the pitched battle here between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.
The Republicans are sending surrogates as South Carolina intervenes Saturday, three days before Nevada Republicans vote on their presidential preference. But both Democratic candidates spent the weekend in Nevada, and Clinton canceled events in Florida on Monday to campaign an extra day in the state, a clear sign her campaign is concerned about a place once considered a lock for her.
It is a lock no more.
OK. Bloomberg will win New York. How does that get him to 1/3 the delegates?
But...what are Sanders supporters going to do? Go back to Mom's basement? I mean, they're *already* defaulting on their student loans...
If Sander’s wins the witch’s voters will stay home... mostly. Win/Win! ;D)
She had the super delegates at this stage eight years ago too. They started peeling off one by one. It didn’t turn out so well for her.
That's my take - and I look forward to that realization from his supporters. Can you spell D-I-S-I-L-L-U-S-I-O-N children?
Love it if he goes Third Party. Political seppuku from the Left for a change.
It’s just not fair. When you are bought, you ought to stay bought. You just can’t count on those Democrats.
Ralston is rabble rousing for Hillary.
This has been my exact thought for a long time now. Those on our side like to believe that any of our candidates would be an absolute shoo-in to win against Bernie. I think we would most likely win against him, but I think it is very wrong to underestimate him in the way that the Clinton campaign did until recently. He gets huge crowds, he has young people excited about him like they were about Obama in '08, and unlikely as it is, there is always an outside chance that the Republican nominee's campaign could implode, leaving us with President Sanders.
I can't stand Hillary, but I would certainly rather have her as president than Bernie the Marxist. I personally would prefer Hillary to win the nomination as a precautionary measure to make 100% sure that Bernie will never get in power.
But, but what about all those hookers for Bill?
for your lips to God’s ears.
that are semi worthless, but a lot better than the alternative.
although i’m surprised that they didn’t go nuts when the had the congress and the president. slash military by 2/3, increase taxes 40 percent. stuff like that.
and i was surprised, then we had the congress and presidency back in the 2000s, that we didn’t have much smaller debts. the war can excuse some of it, but i’ve never heard of CUTTING taxes during wartime.
that’s kind of a universal thing, and not a dem thing.
but i could be wrong and dont kill me if i am :)
