Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is being praised by Code Pink, a group working to end U.S. wars and militarism that has protested the Iraq War.
Trump garnered support from the organization during the GOP debate Saturday night when he called the Iraq War a mistake and accused the George W. Bush administration of lying before the invasion.

Feel free to leave the Republican Party. But donot expect us to accept your Democrat stalking horse and far right cooks.
Firm your own party and have him run in their primary.
Four presidents in a row have had to send US servicemen to find in Iraq. I was there myself. Obama tried to take your few. After we’d secured that country, Obama failed to get a SOFA. Yet he and Biden claimed initially it was one of their great victories. The whole place came unglued once we were completely out of there as anyone could have guessed. Maliki failed to work with the Sunnis and oppressed them. They didn’t push back against ISIS. The fourth president in a row now has troops in Iraq, boots on the ground. Now, you can believe this blowhard Trump wouldn’t fight in Iraq all you want if he were elected. You can believe he’d hold fast to his Code Pink roots. But if Obama couldn’t hold fast to the Michael Moore views you hold, how could a mercurial dilettante like Trump?
Let's be honest here shall we? Did W. Make some bad calls in Iraq? Sure. Did he correct his errors? Absolutely.
Iraq fell apart because One Barrack Hussain Obama refused to push for a Status of Forces agreement. Turned tail and let the Country fall into Caox.
Was there a draft in 1988?
“Let’s be honest here shall we? Did W. Make some bad calls in Iraq? Sure”
Yeah, like going.
That’s a very polite way of finally getting the point.
"Trump going for dem crossovers? Big Picture?"
A vote is a vote.
Now there is a educated retort If I have ever seen one. I’ll ponder on it a while...
Government regulations and healthcare costs, plus tax rates do indeed force manufacturing to leave this nation. You do realize as president, Trump, will no longer be allowed to have any say over his interests? You can bet every lawyer wanting to make a name for themselves will monitor every move he makes... Being President will change Trump's life style... All the other candidates covet the White House to make a name for themselves... a step up for their own personal interests. Wealth and power is such an trip...
It is just so very strange how some cannot see that it has been bought off politicians that used their power of making laws and playing favorites have systematically gutted the manufacturing base in the US. Trump has been very open describing how the system is rigged... The debate Saturday was case in point. GOP high dollar donors got the tickets to cheer their political slaves. And boo the candidates they do not yet own.
Bush made bad calls on....
The Patriot Act
No Child Left Behind
TARP
With “Republicans” like Bush, who needs Democrats?
When he told the truth about Bush, it resonated outside the Republican party. That is good.
And with every election, the number of Low-Info Voters only increases. You gotta get at least a certain percentage of those votes to win. Guys like Romney won’t cut it.
>>”Maybe he has evolved..”
He evolves on a dime. I don’t understand why some believe what he says today.
Maybe he should go resonate with his fellow Democrats since he’s so in favor of using their talking points.
“You seriously think that people were totally still in love with the Iraq war here until last Sat?”
No. But I doubt many people praised the tin foil hat wearing Code Pink until last Saturday.
And the thing is that most people on FR were heaping all types of Grief on Bush for that.
Now all of a sudden you are supposed to shut up because Bush is now beloved.
Seeing that he is supporting Jeb, maybe these guys will go and vote for him out of a sign of solidarity and respect (newly found).
Ok I see your game.....well here then...from Trumps revelation of himself and who he really stands for....from the debate.... I’ll just share a tad with you....
...Not only was Trump ‘ignorant’ of the thousands of chemical weapons found in Iraq... then he spouted talking points you likely wwouldn’t even hear from Hillary Clinton! (...”Bush lied people died”)....only a committed leftist would pin the undeniable failure of America’s security apparatus on George Bush and George Bush only.... but that’s exactly what Trump did......
Trump doesn’t threaten the Republican establishment because he’s too conservative or too populist. ...He threatens the Republican establishment because he belongs in the other party. ....He’s a Demorat masquerading as something else.
Do you really believe you are persuading anyone?
Has it occurred to you that the tens of millions of long time small c conservatives that will be voting Trump may know even more negative things about Trump than you and have already priced those into the stock, having carefully considered the nature of the negatives vs the positives and negatives of the other stocks available?
Is it possible you appear to everyone as a child on the beach screaming 'Look! Sand!'?
Its impossible.
It is why he is someone who should not even be considered as our candidate. We CAN NOT TRUST him.
Maybe Saturday night was an eye opener for folks...
Yeah, right. So given the choice between Hillary/Sanders or Trump Democrats will choose Trump because he believes in the Michael Moore view of the Iraq War. I think that Trump might believe that. You’re right that he’ll be moving way over to the left if nominated, but why go with a man who is only a Democrat in values and spirit when you can have those still in the party?
