By attacking the Bushes ( who are in single digits) the Donald was making a play not for GOP voters but for independents and Reagan democrats who are not so liberal as Bolshevik Bernie and more morally adjusted than to be thrilled about voting in the morally bankrupt Clintons

This yuge bloc of maybe 30-40% of voters that lies between the 30% conservative and 30% liberal blocs - is IN PLAY and the Donald is speaking their language about George Bush’s failures—— the Donald swung, he hit, he scored

This is a very smart man, love him or not
He is playing 3d chess on multiple boards while the rest of the GOP field is playing checkers

So this is why he’s still in.

Cruz’s rise is do to Scalia’s passing.
Not to be disrespectful to Scalia’s passing at all.
This is reality.
Who will pick the best Justice?

Another Kurtz tweet said

Memo to Bush PAC says Cruz jump “based on significant support” in upstate S.C. “where evangelical Christians are heavily concentrated”

Nice try.

Jeb wants Trump and Cruz to destroy each other.

A close race would make Cruz more likely to go after Trump and vice versa.

Nobody will fall for it.

If it goes that way then Bush will be the the big winner.

New primary, new internal poll, private poll, secret poll, etc.

Recently it was that NH poll that couldn’t be exposed other than its headline numbers, the memorable one being Bush at 20%. That was Kristol’s little attempt.

If you can’t show your work, you don’t have a poll.

Good point.

Something had Trump’s bloomers in a bind.

It could have been the boos from the audience when he’s used to wild cheers at every word.

But it could have been that he had seen some discouraging polling.

Six days, baby.

1) This has a certain amount of credibility coming from the Bush camp because it shows Jeb Bush near the back of the pack.

2) But I don’t think any kind of internal polling data explains Trumps conduct in the last debate. Ockham’s Razor instructs us that the the likely reason why Trump acted like he hates the Bushes, is because he really, really hates the Bushes.

Internal polls. Bushed probably used a speculum and a flashlight to put them together.

I am convinced Trump doesn’t want to win the nomination and that’s why he says all this crazy stuff..........the problem for him is all the crazy stuff makes him more popular with his cult.

Even Trump laughs at them.

On the Romney campaign the internals were so good in the last 3 weeks, the campaign told us workers that we were “Expanding the map”.

Thank goodness Romney won, us campaign workers would have felt foolish otherwise. /S

The Cruz Crew needs to just settle down. This “poll” is total BS. 538 has Trump at 82% to win the SC primary and Milhous Cruz at 9%.

I expect Cruz to move up a bit now that SCOTUS appointments are big issue in the campaign. People will trust Cruz most to appoint conservative justices.

Cool. I’m praying it’s true. I think the truth is somewhere between this poll and the CBS poll. With 5 days to go, anything is still possible. Trump’s distasteful debate performance needs some more time to sink in. I doubt he will get any “late deciders” after that train wreck.

Trump running away with SC never made sense to me. I can see him winning for sure but that body of voters is nothing like NH.
