“I thought he had already been embalmed. Anyone know the Governor of Texas??? We want an autopsy!!!

Death scene is suspicious. Massive heart attack but hands folded on chest and sheets unrumpled.”

It could have happened right after he laid down.

Lujan said if an autopsy is requested by Scalia's family or ordered by a justice of the peace, then an El Paso County medical examiner would likely perform it at the funeral home.

This is infuriating. A supreme court judge dies alone and they don't automatically do an autopsy? And if they do it's going to be done by a county ME? Shouldn't this be some kind of bi-partisan autopsy to make sure everything is on the up and up?

I hope I am so lucky to go out in a similar way.

I have written about Scalia often in the last few months in terms of his opinion of Natural Born Citizen.

These are strange times with a wild political process.

Art. 49.10. AUTOPSIES AND TESTS.

(e) A justice of the peace shall order an autopsy performed on a body if: (1) the justice determines that an autopsy is necessary to determine or confirm the nature and cause of death;

(i) If a justice of the peace determines that a complete autopsy is unnecessary to confirm or determine the cause of death, the justice may order a physician to take or remove from a body a sample of body fluids, tissues, or organs in order to determine the nature and cause of death.

http://www.statutes.legis.state.tx.us/Docs/CR/htm/CR.49.htm

Presidio County Judge Cinderela Guevara pronounced Scalia dead over the phone. She said no autopsy was necessary and that the death certificate will say the cause of death was natural.

How could Judge Cinderela Guevara determine that an autopsy was not necessary to determine or confirm the nature and cause of death when she hasn’t even seen the body? She must possess a miraculous ability to determine the cause of death over the phone.

I agree; it’s a travesty.

Just because Scalia could easily have had a heart attack does not mean he did. Same with Breitbart - people said he had high blood pressure, was stressed, etc. doesn’t mean they weren’t murdered.

Marshals were not at the resort in Texas where he died, but were called there after the fact, a law enforcement source told CNN. Marshalls help supplement security for traveling justices.

Why weren't Marshalls protecting Scalia? Apparently the Marshalls arrived after Scalia had died. Then a U.S. Marshal told Judge Guevara by phone: "It's not necessary for you to come, judge. If you're asking for an autopsy, that's what we need to clarify."

In my opinion Judge Guevara and the unnamed Marshall require scrutiny.

Most likely Justice Scalia had a medical history that the family may be well aware of, so the family have no questions regarding his death as it was kind of expected???? If not, I feel they would be demanding an autopsy.

Yes, there should be an autopsy, and Ben Carson should do it!

There's an interesting idea. Someone should start a twitter campaign along those lines. (I don't do twitter, or I would start it)

It certainly seems like something is being covered up.

According to WFAA channel 8 an unnamed U.S. Marshal told Judge Guevara by phone: “It’s not necessary for you to come, judge. If you’re asking for an autopsy, that’s what we need to clarify.”

Was the judge threatened?

Damn right for an autopsy seeing as we do not know the cause of death of a man who was in good health and it should be done by the Doc who the family wants.

You are shocked a 79 year old fat guy had a fatal heart attack. Come-on.

No not shocked, but I am surprised that a body is found in the morning and the M.E did not come and state death , but a justice of the peace. Especially seeing as this was a judge on SCOTUS.

Good health? He was a fat, near 80 year-old smoker.

Exactly so. There are ample causes for a natural death - indeed, any one of us could drop dead at any minute.

However, this needs to be proven. Public figures have less privacy than the rest of us, it is one of the costs of their generous tax funded perks. Given this man’s public profile, and justified concern about his death, an autopsy is required. The family may not be requesting this, but it is not entirely up to them.

How do you know he was in good health? He was overweight and a walking ad for a heart attack. In addition according to the news tonight he had seen his doctor Wednesday and Thursday last week before the trip, He was 79.

The JP called his doctor and after that conversation it was deemed an autopsy was not required.
