Right. Is it the same guy?
Knew a guy who was in his early 60’s who had a sudden heart attack. He went up to his cabin in Michigan and they found him sitting on his recliner with the TV on and nearly untouched bowl of popcorn on his lap.
At the time it was hard for his family, but the story of his sudden death was a comfort to them.
Anyone else flashing back to the movie Godfather 3?
Apparently not.
He was napping until one of husseins lackeys snuck in and Breibarted him.
Not in Texas. My mother fell on her front porch and died on the spot with no one around. The Medical Examiner came out, said no autopsy was required and my dad opted to not have one done.
In Indiana if the coroner says not needed and you want one you foot the bill.
Depends on state law. Here the body is taken away where the autopsy is done a couple of days later if all the paper work is in check.
True and hope you are doing good pal.
It is not the law in TX. My brother died at our ranch alone, of an apparent heart attack. After talking to the medical people the law enforcement folks told my parents there was no need for an autopsy unless they wanted one. My brother was morbidly obese and a smoker, so cause of death wasn’t hard to figure.
And in ALL of those sudden attacks there is a great deal of pain.
He’s a Democrat, for what that is worth.
And Scalia was alone without his protective marshals.
Nothing I read about this story is fully comforting that everything was above board.
Huge ditto!
OTOH I have seen congestive heart failure put someone down peacefully ‘to sleep’ ...
“It was an honor to have had him,” the host said. “He was surrounded by 35 odd admirers. He was at a beautiful location, which he remarked upon several times as being very much to his taste. He was doing what he liked to do, which was being outdoors. He had no apparent pain or distress in his death. While an absolute tragedy, it could have happened at worse places and worse circumstances than it happened here.”
It all sounds so wonderful. I never want to be having a great day near this guy or I won’t ever see another day.
Also, how does he know the Justice felt no pain?
+1000
He didn’t reach for the phone beside his bed?
Potential murderers, take note. Go rural in TX. Then call a distant judge, who can rule heart attack for your victim over the phone. You just have to answer one question first. “Was there any sign of foul play?” Just say no, kids.
“And Scalia was alone without his protective marshals.”
Cannot be repeated enough. Who arranged that?
Thank you, I didn’t know all that. Good info from one who has been there.
For me, the statements from the guy who both INVITED SCALIA WITHOUT KNOWING HIM and FOUND THE BODY just sound wrong. Suspicious. But I hope it’s just my tinfoil hat.
My dad is dying, he is in the last stage of Alzheimer’s, and just this week he has started to sleep with his eyes open. It is freaking everyone out a little. They close his eyelids and he stays asleep.
