Donald Trump was so awful, so horrible, so disgusting in the latest Republican debate — his lies, his distortions, his deceits, and his libels thicker and fouler than they’ve yet been—that he’s done us all a favor. If he wins easily in South Carolina after his monstrous turn, he’ll be going straight to the Republican nomination.
Such a victory in a classically conservative state like South Carolina after his romp in idiosyncratic New Hampshire will prove Trump’s repellent personality is the real key to his success. You want me to delineate his dishonesties? That would be like asking me to count how many breaths he took.
We will not be able to labor under any delusions after a win comparable to his triumph in New Hampshire. We will know for a certainty that the man Republicans want for their tribune in 2016 is a disgusting jerk they somehow believe will have their backs when the only back he’s ever had is his own

Someday those of us still lucky enough to have jobs in the USA will be grateful that flipping hamburgers couldn’t be shipped to Mexico or Asia. I see this everyday where I work. The only allegiance is to the stock price.

I was fairly young when the Iraq war started—WOW, it went on a long time—so I’ll keep my peace on how justified it was. Having said that, the way it was fought beyond the first few months turned out to be total garbage.

I love the non-PC message and the energy and the willingness and ability to go for the jugular. But if he wins I have no real idea what he may or may not do and I don’t see how anyone can say that they do.
He needs to change his act. At least modify it.
right on BOA, well put. I also like a lot of the Trump wrecking ball moneychanger in the temple act. but when he goes crazy man, it worries me. what if he really is a psycho? you can do a lot of damage as president, just look at you know who, its a minefield of unintended consequences out there.
another weird thing about trump, he doesn't seem to have any advisors or other team members identified. i guess the others don't either, but, it might help if he had a few same people around him that he says he would rely on in his administration.

A check of the results of 10 major post 2/13 debate polls show that Donald Trump won all 10 by huge margins. These polls of course, are polls of the people, not news pundits and Republican Party leaders. Even Glen Beck’s (who is a Trump hater) poll had Trump winning handily. His margins ranged from 45% (The Blaze) to 79% (The Street) saying he won the debate. As Joe Friday used to say, Just the facts, maam, just the facts. The only reason I am sending this, is because you would have no idea listening to the pundits this morning. The truth needs to be published. You can Google these yourself. And these figures are thousands and thousands of people voting.

What’s crazy is that after the Iraq war and trillions down the drain we now have a worse situation and these idiots like Jeb want to go in again and waste more money (borrowed from China no less) while risking wwiii. Theses people are certifiably insane and have nothing but disdain for the lives of the average American which they are all too happy to feed into the meat grinder.
If that weren’t enough they want to flood the country with illegals to drive down their wages or harass what employers are left until they leave the country.
And trump is the one unhinged? Looks to me like it is the establishment that is unhinged.

Hoover was president for a little over 7 months when the stock market crashed and was assigned responsibility for it by the public. Bush was president for a little over 8 months before 9/11. In the military, someone is ALWAYS assigned responsibility because someone IS responsible.

The survival of the United States hangs in the balance. The odds of any other candidate saving the country if elected are zero. We don’t know what the odds are that Trump will save the country, but they might be better than zero.
Under those circumstances, anyone who votes for someone other than Trump commits a grave error.
if it was a raving success, and they paid the Iraqi army and didn’t create a half million man insurgency!!, and it became an unsteady yet budding democracy with a heavy emphasis on reeducation of the young, then it would have been a springboard in the area. but it was ####ed up beyond all recognition. you are right.
as for Trump, he gave a classy comment about a man I LOVED, an Italian American of 2nd generation who made it to SCOTUS!!
And his two choices for SCOTUS impressed me.
I know this hyphenated American stuff annoys a lot of conservatives, and rightly so, but alot on this board have ancestors going back to the Revolutionary War!!!
they made their bones and are about as American as you can get.
We second generation and ever third still felt like we had to prove we are true Americans, and we did that with having two conservative descendants of Italian immigrants on the SCOTUS!!!

I LOVE Columbus Day (screw the indians and apologists) and wave an Italian and American flag, but AMERICA IS MY COUNTRY and Italy has a soft spot. That’s it.
