Good morning, AB, All,

I watched the Republican debate last night and goodness it was quite rowdy.

But I’m not complaining except for Donald Trump sounding like a Democrat with that “no weapons of mass destruction” mantra. Well why not? Even George Dubya didn’t defend himself and this is exactly why we should not elect another Bush….as in Jeb.

Going to write a post about this along with my Sunday political show ruminations.

As always, thank you AB for doing this thread so reliably, Bray for the wisdom and all of yon commenters for your thoughts.

Am singing at the ten am mass, yup in the choir loft where there’s no damn place to kneel and like I told Father Flowers, one of the reasons I go to mass is so I can get on my knees, in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. On Ash Wednesday I did manage to secure a kneeling spot on some kind of ledge thing but it’s not very long and won’t hold the entire choir.

So many of the men in the choir WERE KNEELING ON THE CHOIR LOFT FLOOR!

That sight had me catching my breath, darn they looked like those poor sailors held captive on that Iranian boat.

Man you got your choir people having to kneel on the floor, that’s kind of pathetic.

I also complained about not having a place to put our coats, etc.

Anyway, both Todd and Father Tom wrote me back for the power of my email rant, assuring me that coat racks and places to kneel would be coming right up…..toot de sweet.

I mean if I wanted to sit instead of kneel….I’D BECOME A PROTESTANT!!!

Let’s see, what else did my words bring last week?

Oh, we’re fixing the dog laws in Delaware, thank me very much.

Also working on a task force to handle the roadside trash problem in Sussex county.

Of course I exaggerate but you’d be surprised at the power one humble Blogger yields because said Blogger writes about stuff and doesn’t let up.

Should be an interesting morning on the Sunday political talk show circuit, keep me up to date and if I survive the choir loft I will be back to re-join.

Happy Valentine’s day everyone. I got NO gifts or cards from anybody, in case one should wonder. Not necessarily complaining, didn’t have to buy anyone anything either.

Heh.

Today the drivebys starts a full court press to have Obama replace Scalia with a Leftist.

I hope every GOP candidate fights back with good, solid points.

The president does have the prerogative to appoint whoever he wishes, but it must be done with ADVICE and CONSENT of the Senate.

If there was ANY reason I voted straight Republican in 2014—this was THE issue.

McConnell and the Senate Republicans in charge have EVERY Constitutional right and authority to vote NO on any of Obama’s picks.

Too early to comment on the talk shows but I expect all of their talkers to be presenting the Republican debate last night in whatever biased view fits their own agenda. I caught only the last half and was impressed with the genuine outrage expressed by Donald Trump at the misrepresentation of his positions on eminent domain, planned parenthood, business bankruptcies and more. He said PP does some good things but abortion is not one of them. He is adamantly opposed to abortion. Anyway, I saw a man who will protect America and her people with a fire and energy and passion supported by intelligence and experience that is now very personal for him. Trump has gotten into the raw, bare knuckled politics which brings out the true metal of the participants. I have less respect for his opponents who ride on his coattail than I had before the debate, which was not a lot, and more confidence in his ability and dedication to do what he campaigns on, that being taking back America. GO TRUMP.

Puzzling that Cruz avoids press appearances.

A lot of Sanders and no Cruz. With the debate last night and Scalia’s passing (RIP), most anything said on these shows recorded Friday is moot.

Why does Cruz keep lying, saying if Trump is elected he will write out the 2nd Amendent? What in the heck is he talking about? What lies! Trump is very pro-2nd Amendment. Cruz is obviously very desperate and rightly so, I guess.

Bernie Sanders was smiling while talking to Chris Wallace on the FOX show this morning. Which blew my theory; since Senator Sanders (Independent, Lily White Vermont) is usually frowning and snarling, I thought young people like him because he reminds them of Lewis Black.

Is it true that Bernie Sanders' qualifications for foreign policy is that he can almost see Canada from his house?

George Will needs to get a grip. On-air orgasms are unbecoming. “Finally, finally, yes finally we got him we got him”, followed by heavy breathing. Especially since the female pollster explained afterwards why Trump is doing well and the GOP Establishment still does not understand

I'm beginning to think that, if the level of discourse in the country continues to drop as much as during the past two weeks on FR, that we're all in for a very, very long hot summer.

This business will get out of control. It will get out of control and we'll be lucky to live through it.
