WASHINGTON â Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump weighed in on Sunday against Supreme Court Justice Anthony Scaliaâs comments on affirmative action in university admissions.
The conservative justice suggested during a hearing last week that some blacks and Hispanics are not strong enough candidates to be admitted purely on academic criteria and might be better off attending âslower-trackâ schools where they can prosper.
âI thought his remarks were very, very tough. I think they were very, very tough to the African American community actually. I donât like what he said, no,â Trump said on CNNâs âState of the Unionâ program.
Rusty, I disagreed with Ronald Reagan on some things.
Do I think he was one of our better presidents? Absolutely!
We needed exactly Ronald Reagan when he came long.
Today, we need Trump in the same fashion.
Good Lord, people can have disagreements even with their friends. It doesn’t mean you don’t respect one another. You people are despicable human beings.
Just like your buddy Cruz, the man isn’t even cold yet and you are trying to make political hay. Cram it.
