I have a little bit of advice for Cruz and Rubio tomorrow when it comes to defeating Trump. Some of the advice is tactical, but the more important advice is strategic. Attack Trump early, relentlessly, on everything, and never, ever stop. The tactical advice is that you should stop saying that Trump is for single-payer. That is too bloodless. Say that Trump was for a government-owned, and government-rationed, health care monopoly. Also try to work in the argument that Trump would give us the corruption of the Clintons with the huge government of Bernie Sanders.

I was paying attention to the Republican leadership in Washington as they rubber stamped the agenda of Obama and Democrats. I also watched as Ted Cruz stood against it and has become hated by the establishment for it as evidenced by Hatch’s comments to CNN. No, I see Trump on television describing how great his relationship is with Pelosi and Reid, which isn’t surprising considering he was a registered Democrat that financially contributed to them..a fact that you amazingly brush aside.
Oy vey, I’m supporting Cruz because he’s both a leader and a debater..not a faux conservative who’s neither.
“What Christian worth his/her salt goes begging for campaign dollars from a couple of homo billionaires in of all places New York City”
Homo billionaires? Who is that?
“You guys don’t understand that there are millions of Republicans who are just as passionate for a “REAL” conservative revolution who are just as passionately against Trump.”
Sure we do; we also understand why it is impossible at this juncture.
Neither of the Cubans is eligible. Neither of the Cubans is capable of doing what is needed, even if one of them is obamalated into office.
Trump is not just our best bet; he is our only bet.
I have a lot of respect for Rush having listened to him for over 20 years but he’s going to go for the established politician every time. If Trump wins then Rush will get behind him 100% agains’t Killary.
Two problems: you are supporting a candidate that has admitted to violating Federal Law in the practice of hiring illegal aliens at his golf course (add to that his hotels and the construction crews of those hotels) and was attacking Mitt Romney the last go around for being to harsh on illegal immigration that would cost him the “Latino” vote, but you want me to believe he’s genuinely against open borders? As for massive debt, how does Donald Trump fix that problem when he’s against any change to entitlements and supports a government takeover of healthcare? How do you figure Mr. Art of the Deal who has such a great relationship with Pelosi/Reid will reduce debt? Perhaps his wealth tax proposal i.e. tax the rich? On trade, he talks the talk but not so much in specifics.
Must be getting boring over at consistent conservative, huh?
That coming from the same crowd that would Trumpet his lead in Iowa and assured us of his coming victory. After South Carolina you can tell us how you’re going to support a Trump run as an independent against Cruz.
No, its actually exciting to have a real conservative running for the presidency.
Rush claiming Cruz is the new Reagan has destroyed his credibility. I remember back during the Clinton crime spree, Rush, described the 'Balkanization' of the US... What is a 'Hispanic, Cuban, Canadian natural born, presidential candidate... Nothing about Cruz represents me. Or the Catholic, Cuban, anchor baby Rubio? Trump does not court any group of people, only Americans... It would seem natural that Rush from his past would also 'court' Americans.
But still boring over at consistent conservative.
“After South Carolina you can tell us how youâre going to support a Trump run as an independent against Cruz.”
I wll support whomever ends up being the nominee so long as it isn’t one of the GOPe turds. That said, I fully expect to be able to vote for Donald Trump in the General Election. I am more conerned about the “Little Capo” Bloomberg running as an independent than I am about Trump. I guess I could turn it around and ask you if you would vote for Cruz and and indy if Trump gets the nomination, No? I thought so!
“Trump is not just our best bet; he is our only bet.”
That’s the best statement of this thread!
What’s a ‘National Review”?
No kidding? Trump was a demonRAT? WOW.
Listen noobie, you've been here a week, have demonstrated your low IQ, but have you donated yet?
If not, put up some money, if you have, thank you, but you are still low IQ.
Look at what lengths you must go to twist logic or better yet, turn it upside down, to avoid the painful, insurmountable fact that Donald Trump was a Democrat that contributed to all the top far left Democrats in Congress and in New York. Being fed up with the establishment doesn’t mean you go full on leftist. What really bothers me is that Ted Cruz has been there in the Senate fighting the establishment who openly despise him for it but you won’t support him.
I’m not worried about Mayor Bloomberg or his bluff..he would only siphon off Democrats. I have never said that I wouldn’t support Trump IF he was the nominee but that’s the second time today a Trump supporter has told me what I support without bothering to ask me.
