A 17-year-old robber's arm was severed in Brooklyn after he held up a 39-year-old man at gunpoint for a pair of pricey sneakers, police sources said.
Through the app Wallapop, the pair had arranged to meet up at 1 p.m. on Friday in Canarsie.

Just wondering why you took time to rewrite the article to eliminate the names of those involved? At least, that’s the way it seems when your post is compared to the linked article at NYPost.com.
Didn’t rewrite anything...but in my hurry possible I skipped over something
Ok. Figured an oversight. Just wonderin’.
He will have fun tying his laces form here on out...
All charges were dropped. This was certainly NOT strong-arm robbery.
“Just read the driver has been charged with attempted murder.”
I don’t understand this.
Winning post with both “humer” and wisdom!
I once heard a guy tell about seeing a one-armed guy slice a tomato.
Caddis
“He will have fun tying his laces form here on out...”
I’m seeing Air Slip-Ons in his future.
They did, however; check the remarks above. I'm flattered, and thank everybody for their good opinion! Glad I could make someone laugh!
No.
The criminal was out of the car but still armed at the time.
The attempted murder is overcharging. I could see a charge of littering.
Pictured: Excruciating moment would-be thief, 17, has his ARM ripped off after being run down by robbery victim following botched Air Jordan sneaker sale scam
-Phillip Pierre, 39, went to meet Zachary Sam, 17, in Brooklyn to sell shoes
-Sam is accused of getting into car, pulling out a revolver and robbing him
-CCTV shows Pierre pulls his car around before driving headlong at Sam
-Teen was dragged under wheels and hit a fence, ripping his right arm off
-Managed to flee but was caught and taken to hospital in serious condition
-Pierre, a father-of-three, is now charged with attempted murder while Sam is due to be charged with armed robbery
“...turned around and used his vehicle as a weapon after the danger to himself had passed.”
But the danger did not pass in regards to the public. You have a armed (and slightly disarmed) gunman on the loose.
The driver did the right thing taking out the danger before the Disarmed One victimize anyone else.
“$500 bucks for a pair of shoes? Do they have jet engines inside of them or something?”
No, but these do!

outstandingly fantastic writing sir
“’Just read the driver has been charged with attempted murder.’
‘I donât understand this.’
Maybe he should be charged with disarming the yute?
Does anyone remember that SNL skit back in the late ‘80s that made fun of the Bulgarian Olympic weightlifting team? I think that is country.
The video starts sports commentator narrating while showing the weightlifter crouched with his hands on the bar of the barbell (that is on the floor) ready to do the clean and jerk.
The weightlifter for the longest time psyches himself up to do the lift never taking his hands off the bar.
All of a sudden he pulls himself up and ends up ripping his arms off at the shoulders. The weightlifter is panicking by dancing around yelling his head off while fake blood flies everywhere.
The commentator then steps in front of the camera while the coach and assistant walk the the weightlifter away.
Freaked me out for a couple of seconds until it was obvious it was fake and then had a good laugh.
Just think how a one-armed counts his pocket change.
Just think about it.
