Fox News anchor Bret Baier tweeted this quote from Donald Trump's recent interview with Greta Van Susteren, prodding me to snark that it'll be fascinating to watch Trump's cult of personality cheer on his inevitable mass amnesty proposal:
In fairness, if you watch the clip, it's seems like he's mostly referring to his conduct on the campaign trail. His "rapid change" comment comes in the context of being challenged on whether dropping F-bombs and amplifying an audience member's mockery of Ted Cruz as a "pussy" is presidential behavior. Don't worry about that, Trump says. I'll clean up my act "as I get closer and closer to the goal:"

So, does this mean that you're fine with someone who will say one thing one day and another thing the next? Which of his promises will you hold him accountable to if he gets in the White House? If you are willing to extend the grace of being imprecise regarding political positions to Trump, are you equally willing to extend that grace to others under the Republican banner?
fail
I will definately be watching that this evening and promise to get back to you on this. I still cannot believe we are here fighting the merits of a proven conservative in FR. It’s like I stepped into the twilight zone
Watch out this is the age of celebutant 15 second quip point counter point age. Where each glaring item you post as evidence will be counter pointed with a quick 10 second search on the Internet to find said counterpoint then thrown in your face as a statement of fact. This drill then goes on all day. I’ve given up on trying to convince Trump supporters. They are NO DIFFERENT than the same supporters for Obama. You will waste the day with point counter point all day long.
Now one moment please as I tee up my iPhone make a quick YouTube video as an expert of political science giving my next counterpoint.
Short attention span? I assume you understand English. I asked you the same questions twice and didn’t use any big words or tricky phrases. Like your hero, Donald Trump, you have again done a little dance and switched the subject to Ted Cruz. You leave me no choice but to assume that you can’t actually answer my questions since you post graphics and such instead of providing a straight answer to my questions. Are they a little too close to the truth for you? BTW, do you consider yourself a conservative? If not, then my questions are moot and you may feel free to ignore them.
Man, talk about squirm and wriggle!!! He just cannot answer the question can he?
Can we list the items he says he is conservative with?
And list the items has never or is not conservative with?
List the liberal causes or politicians he has contributed with?
List conservative causes or politicians he has contributed with?
Let me guess to whom was the most!
True bit he can never escape what he is.
So who is your alternative candidate, yourself? Seriously, if you are still in lock step with either the DNC or RNC, this election is going to be very disappointing. There are no good guys or bad guys; but if I had to choose one that remembers what America was in the past, and one that understands business, who is not some politically correct elitist, then it will be Trump. Rubio will never get my vote; Cruz will only be VP.
Well stated. As another poster said, it’s like we’re in the Twilight Zone.
You called it. I’m losing faith in FR as a conservative bastion every day.
“Then they will ask you how can you support Trump based on their own made-up assertions!”
LOL!
The problem isn't so much what he is. The problem is the number of people who don't mind what he is.
I hear you and don't disagree. Still I like to give them an opportunity to save face and engage in intelligent discourse before writing them off altogether. Who says conservatives aren't compassionate? ;)
Because if his wins the nomination he is then free and clear to fully support late term.
He certainly did perform a jig here
Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner!
Elect Donald Trump and you can kiss SCOTUS goodbye for the next several generations. Folks, you only think you have an activist court now. Just wait until you get a progressive in office.
“Messiahs” come in all different flavors. I am sure you will like one — for a while.
I honestly thought Ted was above the stuff he’s done. I actually believed he was a “principled” candidate - more so than Trump. I bought his book. I took him, and his supporters, at their word. But he’s proved to be very unprincipled. That’s the bed Ted is making and it’s his to sleep in. It’s actually stunned me. Ted’s a status quo politician. Same as the rest. I’ll still vote for him as the nominee but it will be just another “cream of the crap” vote.
The vast majority of “journalists” are enemies of the people. But we knew that already.
Of course, they’re digging their holes even deeper with this election.
