Donald Trump has over double the voter support of any Republican White House hopeful nationwide, according to a new poll.
Over 4 in 10 Americans are backing Trump's campaign after his victory in New Hampshire's GOP primary last Tuesday, according to a Morning Consult survey released Friday.
...
Trump is also viewed favorably by over 6 in 10 of his party's voters, pollsters found. He has a 67 percent favorability rating, while Rubio takes 62 percent and Cruz 61 percent.

It’s all over except for the lamentations of the snake-handling Cruzholes.
Oh, but a Cruzer told us that his unfavorables were 60 percent. Now his favorables are 60 percent? Wow.
Excellent Trump presentation on Hannity last night.
He went through each of his positions to include Scotus justices (he wants to tap those like Scalia and Thomas). There is nothing that should cause consternation for ANY conservative.
If you’ve voted for Romney, McCain, Dole in the past, then Trump is far better.
As a confirmed Cruzhole let me lament the rise of European style nationalism/populism over anti government conservatism.
I’d prefer Trumps brand of politics (nationalism, government support for the middle class) over the left, but I’d hate to see the anti-government libertarianism streak of the Republican party be swallowed up by a more populist movement.
Otherwise known as Reagan conservatives.
If Bill Kristol didn’t notice this poll, it’s crap, with a capital “K”.
Trump is far from perfect. At least with him we MIGHT get something better. With ANY of the others we will get more of the same, “conservatives” who conserve nothing.
Right now, the DC Uni-Party (We need a standard abbreviation for them!) WANTS TRUMP AND CRUZ BACKERS KILLING EACH OTHER! Let's not play into their hands!
He didn’t mention Sam Alito because he is a family friend
Yup, Trump attacked Reagan in the 80’s. He has always been a big government leftist, until he decided to run for Republican nomination.
When all of this is over and Trump goes back to his position of supporting partial birth abortion, I really hope JR goes back through all of the comments and bans the anti-Christian Trump followers from FR. It is one thing to have poor judgement and support a bad candidate (like so many on FR do). It is entirely another thing to call Christians who support the other candidates "bible thumpers", "snake handlers", "Jesus freaks", etc... and to post pictures of Christians in prayer with the intention of mocking them.
I really thought that a site founded on a belief in God wouldn't stand for such things.
Which other Republican candidate beside Trump can put New York state in play? If the Republican nominee takes New York, the Democrats cannot win the election.
“When’s the national primary?” Haha. That’s what all the Cruzers say...Go Trump Make America Great Again!
The unfavorable numbers previously reported for Trump were from a poll of Repubs, Dems and Indies. The favorability number you are citing is ONLY Republicans. Apples, meet oranges. I find it odd that the Hill very selectively chose to include only one side of the equation.
It must be 2-3 percent of the Republican vote
Btw—It's called patriotism not nationalism. In case you haven't noticed this country is already destroyed.
The last thing we need is another creepy foreign born ineligible first term senator harvard lawyer.
My advice is to pull till ya hear a pop.
Spot on. Can’t be emphasized enough.
Does not surprise me because Trump is a populist, not a conservative. And after 25 years of outrageous crony nonsense, most people out there have lost faith in the free market.
Any candidate who toes the traditional Conservative line on economics is going to fare badly in this cycle IMHO.
Agree. And I am a Trump supporter.
