Bad News: Millennials, America's Largest Generation, Prefer Socialism Over Capitalism

When socialist Bernie Sanders beat Democrat Hillary Clinton in a landslide Tuesday in New Hampshire, he crushed her among young voters by a whopping 83 percent

Tuesday night in New Hampshire, 83% of voters aged 18-29 chose Sanders, according to exit polls. And those voters were a full one-fifth of the electorate.

Sander's message of "income inequality" (Hillary has one too, but her Wall Street ties and personal wealth make it transparent) is popular with young people drowning in student loan debt (thanks to liberals proclaiming college is for everyone and by promoting the purchase of worthless degrees without the prospect of future employment) and those who have sympathy for occupy wall street. The sympathy also comes after 40 years of liberal indoctrination in public education, starting at kindergarten and ending in PhD programs, imposed by Marxists posing as teachers.

Sanders sat down with Late Show host Stephen Colbert earlier this week, which is widely viewed by young people, to talk about his New Hampshire victory. Bernie Sanders Explains Why He’s Different From Trump

Although Sanders excites young people, the reason they do is sobering. According to analysis in the Washington Post, a majority of millennials now view socialism as preferable to capitalism. Keep in mind the millennial generation is 83 million people strong and the largest generation ever produced. Millennials outnumber Baby Boomers by nearly 10 million.

In a recent YouGov survey, respondents were asked whether they had a "favorable or unfavorable opinion" of socialism and of capitalism. Below are the results of their answers, broken down by various demographic groups.

As you can see, overall, 52 percent expressed a favorable view of capitalism, compared with 29 percent for socialism. Republicans, those in families earning more than $100,000, and people age 65-plus had an especially high regard for capitalism compared with socialism, but respondents in almost every demographic category demonstrated the same preference to some degree.

There were just two exceptions to this pattern: Democrats rated socialism and capitalism equally positively (both at 42 percent favorability). And respondents younger than 30 were the only group that rated socialism more favorably than capitalism (43 percent vs. 32 percent, respectively).

The other problem here is millennials have no idea what socialism actually is or what living under socialism feels like. Over to you, Greg Gutfeld: Greg Gutfeld's Socialism 101 Class

Free-market conservatives have a lot of work to do, not just on the campaign trail, but in the education system to reverse this trend.

The young folks that are now going bananas over Bernie Sanders will get a touch of reality and cold blooded politics, when the Democrat Establishment Party Machine that loves Hillary Clinton smashes Bernie Sanders to the ground and awards the POTUS nomination to Hillary Clinton!!! There is no such thing as a free lunch...ever!!!

I expect that many of these younger folks will shift over to supporting and, voting for Donald J. Trump....whe they discover what the real world is about!!! Right now.....they are living in “LaLa land”...but, wll soon be awakened as to how cold hearted, uncaring and brutal Hillary Clinton and the official Democrat Party can be!!! LMAO!!!

Ms. Clinton will gain nothing in votes. Most young folks will stay home, and not vote!!! Those that will vote, feeling they were openly betrayed by the Democrat Party & Hillary Clinton, will vote in protest for Donald J. Trump!!!

Yup. The worst of both worlds. Crony capitalism isn't any better.

IMO, the kiddos opinions are driven more by the divisiveness created by Obama and the Democrats. The Democrats and Obama have pitted poor against the rich, white against black, male against female, all to gain political points.

It leaves everyone suspicious and resentful.

If the Greatest Country on Earth can afford to bail-out all of those Wall Street banks, it can afford to pay my tuition.

Or...

If the greatest country on earth can afford to subsidize tens of millions of illegal aliens at tax payers expense, it can afford to pay my way.

My son went to a military college. His wife is a teacher. He is now a firefighter.

For whatever reason, they are looking at Sanders.

I'm visiting next week. We'll be chatting.

And rich people are smart with their money. They are the first to abandon a sinking ship... and they have the means to do it, too.

So, it will be those who remain who will be stuck with the mess — what is left of the middle class and the poor.

I know some pretty conservative Tea Party types who are looking at voting at Sanders.

One guy is so far underwater on student loans he co-signed for his kid, he thinks that scheme is his only way out.

Some simply because in his wacked out way they find him the most honest guy running.

Most of the others think that we’re in an unrecoverable nose dive anyway. So with Sanders the big crash will happen much faster, then we can set about the task of starting over.

Saddly many will go farther left to solve the issue.

National Socialism / Fascism (big business and big gov as one) and Socialism Big gov running all business is where the economic illiterate run to when things get bad.

But I am sure Clinton, Bernie and Donald will promise to make the trains run on time.

I put Donald in there due to his life ling big business / big gov stances until 20 months ago or so.

America's Largest Generation, Prefer Socialism Over Capitalism...

All the more reason to elect now a Constitutional Conservative. Before it won't be able to happen any more.

Just who do those dumb asses think will pay for those socialism programs? They are brain washed and brain dead if they believe someone else will pay to support them. Liberalism is a disease and the entire younger generation has been badly infected but those who would educate them.

This started in elementary schools when God-fearing, hard-working parents saw to it that Little Johnny had his school supplies on the first day of school. Other parents had used their money for beer or the beauty salon, and Little Sammy arrived with nothing, whereupon the teacher took all the supplies the children had brought and put them in a box. She then redistributed the supplies, giving each child the same amount.

The children learned that in the government school, there is no ownership of one’s own property. Is this a great country or what!

So, they prefer something they’ve never lived under?

I think you're mistaken. These are kids, who have for the most part either been their parents' dependents, the government's dependents, or who have borrowed funds that have not come due. They haven't really lived under capitalism yet, and they are attracted to having the no-risk ride continue. It sounds good to them.

There was also the social stigma of being pregnant and not married.

----

Not the same problem of will power when people married younger back in the day because they could get jobs right out of highschool or technical school.
