He may not be the MOST conservative in the race but he has two things going for him
He’s honest and open, you never have to wonder what he’s thinking.
He can win and that beats Hillary or Sanders any day in my book.
He may not be perfect - but he does love this country and I truly believe he will do what is best to keep people working, not let other countries take advantage of us, keep out the Muslim problem that is invading Europe and shut down that porous Southern border.
Natural born is born to at least one US Citizen.
So why aren’t you running? Lazy?
You deserve nothing less!
Cheers!
A lot less sleazy than cheating on your wife.
The word “conservative” doesn’t have much meaning to me anymore. I would call myself a classic liberal if anything. And especially considering where we are at as a country - conservative is way down on my list. What I mean is if we don’t do something about the debt, and our economic and geographical borders, American “conservatism” will be tossed into to the dustbin of history with the crash of America.
We are so far gone our priority needs to be getting our country back first. We are so far gone this election is not about conservatism - it’s about if we will continue to have a country or not. When that situation is stable we can work on “conservative” ideals.
We will need crossover and independent votes - a traditional conservative platform will not overcome the majority parasite vote. Trump is the only one running who is piling up votes against the parasite voters.
Trustworthy Ann isn't.
Credible Ann isn't.
Did Ted clearly acknowledge that Trump advocates competitive, private HC insurance for the 75%?
So what was the lie? There was no quote attributed to Cruz at the link.
Huh? I just gave you a list of principles that no Conservative subscribes to and because he decided to run for president and ditched these he’s open and honest?
And what Conservative doesn’t love this country?
You support him and that’s freedom and freewill, so good luck and we’ll see who gets it.

Q: How can you tell Ted Cruz is at the front door?
A: He’s got a bible in one hand and shaming letter in the
other. :-)

“Do you realize you’ve just admitted then, by asking this question and saying in part “that is the group Trump says ‘government will pay’”, that that says then that Trump is saying he’s willing to keep the status quo?? NOT change what we have now, maybe “repeal” Obamacare but in reality just replace it with another law with another NAME but the same SUBSTANCE? Do you REALIZE that’s what you’re saying Trump is saying?”
That does not sound like what Trump is saying, not at all. He’s advocating private, competitive HC like that prior to the ACA. Not a law. And taking care of the 25%, which we do anyway and have been doing for the last 50 years.
“If by “that” you mean “free” (aka wealth redistributed paid for) health care then my answer is, yes, I certainly HOPE he does want to take “that” away.”
How will Ted make the 25% pay for their own HC??
Again, more honesty. We can debate the merits all day but I don’t think we’re going to get far. Conservative principles are what they are.....if you are willing to change them or modify them for the sake of victory then you, as you say, are not a Conservative.
Now if only your fellow supporters would be as honest as you there would be less infighting here.
Good luck going forward.
Trump can advocate private insurance without moving away from a government mandate to have such insurance (just like Obamacare). Adding competition is great, but if there are still mandates, required coverage, and government subsidies for the uninsured, it will still look a lot like Obamacare. Which is Cruz’s point.
May the best man win
You will like having Trump as President. :) Wait and see. But yes, I'm okay if Cruz wins, not real happy about where he's going with the truth right now but I would happily vote for him if he gets the nod.
I’ve never seen Trump say having HC insurance would be a government mandate. If that is the point Cruz is making it is not an accurate one.
No 'natural born' requires TWO US citizen parents bringing forth a child on US soil. "Natural born" is akin to a birthright, one is either born with it or they are not.
My parents did not pass onto me a 'natural born' US citizenship, and neither did Cruz's parents pass on to him a natural born, US citizenship birthright.
Where, oh, where, did conservative principles go? Do you have any clue what harm in the future ignoring the Constitutional requirement to hold the office of president will create? Are you a 'natural born' US citizen? If so, then why would you treat YOUR birthright so shabbily?
This is a valiant effort but but a lost cause. Cruz supporters hate Trump so much, they don’t care what is said about him. When confronted with a one hundred percent Cruz lie about Trump, they simply do not care. They just hope enough people believe the lie to derail Trump and benefit Cruz. That is how bad it is.
