they are over priced union jobs
You missed that dirt cheap labor factor down in Mehico.
Bottom line, these fat corps have zero allegiance to America? No problem. We should treat them the exact same way.
Just the fact that you think such an abuse of power would be a good thing tells me all I need to know about the Trump supporters. You truly are the equivalent of the Obama supporters - willing to accept any violation of the Constitution, any abuse of power, as long as it furthers your goals...
Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio celebrating.
Wait a minute here. What about the colossal abuses America has taken from Mexico over the past 40 years?
But that would make all the GOPe folks sad. Must not interfere with their plans and schedule for full Mexico-Merger.
I'm not talking about that. I am talking about the apparent attitude by many Trump supporters that mirrors the Obama supporters - if we can't get things done under the Constitution, we'll just ignore it and Congress and find a way to do what we want anyway. How is that any different from Obama using "prosecutorial discretion" to effectively repeal the immigration laws he doesn't like?
Quit making excuses for traitorous behavior. They are not going to be lowering the price of their products are they?
BTW United Technologies who owns Carrier is doing pretty darn good.
Wait a minute here. What about the epic abuse America has taken from Mexico over the past 40 years?
Give me your best D.C. establishment line on this.
Your comment speaks volumes about the traitorous heart you must posses. I’d spit on you if I could. A big green lunger.
I don’t give a chit who it mirrors.
What about the epic abuse we’ve taken from Mexico over the past 40 years?
I possess a "traitorous heart", simply because I believe that a president has to follow the law and the Constitution, even when those get in the way of what he wants to accomplish?? The mask is truly coming off the Trump supporters.
Playing nice for the insider$ for the past 40 years has put us into an epic decline. I don’t care if you want to play nice. I don’t care about these greedy investors licking their chops over more profits at the expense of another 2,000 American jobs.
Votes and profits regardless of consequences has all but left Middle America dead on the floor. Enough.
May 3rd.
Yes.
First, this post was not about Mexico - it was about an American company moving operations to Mexico. Instead of trying to address the economic conditions that make it more attractive to move their operations (over regulation, excessive taxation, legal liability), your first instinct is to punish them for moving - much like the Obama administration wants to do on corporate inversions. Why not fix the problems so companies want to stay here? Trump is such a dealmaker, why can't he make a deal that make it more attractive to stay than to go? Why does he have to threaten punishment like a communist dictator?
Second, if he really wants to punish companies that do this, he needs to follow the law and the Constitution - which means he needs to go through Congress. If he can make such good deals, why can't he find a way to persuade Congress to go along? But if he can't, he shouldn't try to go around them, and his supporters shouldn't want him to.
So following the law and the Constitution is nothing more than "playing nice" to you?
So you're suggesting actually securing our borders due to national security issues is acting like a Communist dictator?
Really?
It would be perfectly legal for a President to do this.
You not liking it means zip.
And there are many other legal ways to convince them to act in our best interest. I’m betting you wouldn’t like any of them.
Wow, you sure keep changing topics! You are acting like a man losing the argument. We are not talking about securing the border - that is a different discussion. Once more, we are talking about the inclination to punish companies that move their operations out of the country, rather than fixing the conditions that make them want to move in the first place.
