I don’t give a chit who it mirrors.
What about the epic abuse we’ve taken from Mexico over the past 40 years?
First, this post was not about Mexico - it was about an American company moving operations to Mexico. Instead of trying to address the economic conditions that make it more attractive to move their operations (over regulation, excessive taxation, legal liability), your first instinct is to punish them for moving - much like the Obama administration wants to do on corporate inversions. Why not fix the problems so companies want to stay here? Trump is such a dealmaker, why can't he make a deal that make it more attractive to stay than to go? Why does he have to threaten punishment like a communist dictator?
Second, if he really wants to punish companies that do this, he needs to follow the law and the Constitution - which means he needs to go through Congress. If he can make such good deals, why can't he find a way to persuade Congress to go along? But if he can't, he shouldn't try to go around them, and his supporters shouldn't want him to.
