My career advise for Limbaugh? What your mouth Rush. You really don’t want Trump turning on you.
He is certainly hammering exactly how Trump is winning.
What he has NOT yet done is to explain how the “real conservatives” don’t support Cruz in numbers as one would think they should. Why is Trump, in poll after poll, winning “conservatives” handily and tied/basically even with Cruz among the “very conservative?”
Please, please, please SOMEONE from the Cruz side address this.

Rush’s thesis that the R’s simply needed to put up an opposition to Obama misses the point. The point that Trump supporters are making is that the REASON this is happening is that the GOPe is in on the deal. Rush opines that the media is in on the deal, and frustrated because they have lost control of Trump. But ,the fact that Trump is not under the GOPe wing either is why they do not support him. What is the problem, is Rush under the GOPe wing? Say it isn’t so.
Cruz is the next guy for the establishment to push. They do it in a different way than they do Jeb and Rubio, but they are doing it.

I live in Utah, reddest state in the Union.
I am shocked by the universal dislike of Ted Cruz.
Utahns like Mike Lee, yet they do not like Ted Cruz. When I ask people, who I know are politically very conservative, would you vote for Cruz, I always get the same gut level response of “I don’t like him, there’s something wrong with him”.
The dislike for Ted Cruz is visceral. I have no idea why that is but people are bothered by him.

First call, anti-Trumpster. Rush doesn’t believe he’ll change his tone and yet we’ve seen many occasions when not only has Trump changed his tone, he’s been quite warm and kind-hearted. Compare that with Obama’s coldness. Also, some people don’t get his very New York sense of humor.

I’m also a Utahan, and while I really like Trump, I would be happy to vote for Cruz should he win the nomination.

There’s a lack of sincerity with Cruz. I call it an Uriah Heep-like thing. Some people compare it to a used car salesman.
