Like Donkey Kong. Ted Cruz scored a surprising third-place finish in New Hampshire in yesterday's first-in-the-nation primary, and now it looks like he's going for a knockout before South Carolina. Cruz tweeted out the campaign's latest web ad after his victory, one that takes aim at the winner, Donald Trump. The ad depicts children playing with their new "Donald Trump action figure," and says what he does most is "pretend to be a Republican"...
It's a tour de force of counter-Trump arguments. The ad manages to mention Trump's friendship with Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid (and adds in a shot at Anthony Weiner, too). Bailouts and Too Big To Fail get mentioned, but it's Trump's support for eminent domain that gets most of the attention (video):

Taht’s the standard liberal trick of conflating the legitimate with the illegitimate, like talking about “immigrants” as if legal ones and illegal ones are the same thing.
You’re right that eminent domain is necessary for interstate highways (or in an earlier time, “post roads”, as the Constitution explicitly provides), airports, schools, and that sort of project. The border wall that both Trump and Cruz promise to build for national security would seem to fall under that definition.
But eminent domain is supposed to be for “public” uses, such as those listed above. I don’t much like it, but for those kinds of projects it’s necessary, and those whose property is taken are supposed to be “fairly” compensated (though people often differ on what’s fair compensation.)
But eminent domain is NOT supposed ot be used for private benefit — taking one person’s property to transfer ti to another private party — such as casinos, for example, or other private businesses. And that is where Trump is wrong. Nobody opposes eminent domain for proper uses (it’s in the Constitution, after all), but every candidate but Trump opposes the use of eminent domain for the benefit of private parties.
And THAT’S what Cruz is talking about. We can’t let Trump and his supporters get away with conflating those two things.
Should have read all the way down to your post before posting.
Men will cringe at that ‘Too cutsie’ CRAP.
It is a clever ad, but I don’t agree with it. I don’t wish for a nominee who is a perfect conservative because I don’t believe he can have any headway against the oligarchy. The whole ad, and the whole point about Trump not being enough of a conservative is a non sequitur.
We need an independent nominee who will dare to crush the powers that be and make America, not globalist cabals, great again. If you don’t have independent wealth, you can’t do this in 2016. We need Trump’s patriotism and his resources (to keep his family safe). He can’t be bought or threatened. Cruz has small children he cannot protect without using the cabal’s Secret Service. He would be owned like any other President.
You left out that Donald Trump is in favor of using the state to take your private property for himself.
Thanks for the link.
People who have fallen in behind Trump won’t be moved by it.
Ted is going to burn through tens of millions of other people’s money, and then figure out what most of us already know.
Ted isn’t going to be the nominee.
“real rupublicans” haven’t done much for us lately....... I’ll stick with the “fake” one
If I was Trump, I’d admit it! The Republicans are part of the problem, and funny thing is, Cruz agrees.
Lucky dog!
Go As... LOL
Yeah ‘Eminent Domain’ is the issue of our time. LOL
All Republicans are fake.
Tough, but on point.
TRUMP [on the Larry King Show (2009), referring to the then newly elected communist president (Obama)]: "Well, I really like him. I think that he's working very hard. He's trying to rebuild our reputation throughout the world. I mean, we really have lost a lot of reputation in the world. The previous administration [GW Bush] was a total disaster, a total catastrophe."
And I'm not saying I agree with everything he's doing. I do agree with what they're doing with the banks. Whether they FUND THEM or NATIONALIZE them, it doesn't matter, but you have to keep the banks going."

"50 years is enough," Trump said in an interview with the Daily Caller published Tuesday, referring to Obama's decision to re-establish U.S. ties with Cuba.
"I think it's fine. I think it's fine, but we should have made a better deal," Trump added. "The concept of opening with Cuba is fine."

Joe Scarborough: Again, he [Putin] kills journalists that don't agree with him
Trump: Well, I think our country does plenty of killing also, Joe, so, you know. There's a lot of stupidity going on in the world right now, Joe. Lot of killing going on, a lot of stupidity, and that's the way it is.

"I think that I would probably get along with him [Putin] very well."
--Donald Trump, CBS' Face The Nation, Oct 2015
Did you know that the Cruz campaign only spent about six hundred thousand in New Hampshire, and spent next to the least amount of days there...and still pulled out a third place finish in a state he wasn’t even trying to win! Please, Trump was toast the moment he entered the Bible belt. Bye, bye Donald.
Cruz’s brilliance continues to shine through with juvenile ads that target Trumps stength and experience. Too bad Christie is out, or Cruz’s next ads could take on the topic of donuts vs. crullers.
Laws are to use, to get around and to obey. Didn’t you learn that in first grade? When the kids weren’t allowed to run on the playground, but would instead use a straight legged fast gait that wasn’t technically “running?” Trump has said he uses laws to his benefit. Everyone does.
