Trump won “very conservative” voters from Cruz in New Hampshire by 12 percent. Cruz lost moderates, “conservatives,” “slightly conservatives” even worse.

Cruz isn’t going anywhere.

Very happy with a third place finish here. Some here on FR were prediction 5th or worse for Cruz.

Should Cruz carry South Carolina, he will have won two out of the first three primary states, severely wounding both Trump and Rubio. That's why he should be considered the front-runner.

Don't count your chickens before they're hatched.

Iowa is done , that was Cruz’s high water mark ... even if Cruz wins SC , he’s not going to win Florida, Georgia, Tennessee , or Kentucky ... much less the Northern states ... it’s over for Cruz

Political ghosts are whispering your name, louder and louder.

This article is silly nonsense.

Remember those few folks who kept asking when the national primary was?

It’s now. In ten days it continues, and once against Trump is going to run the board.

Sure you can dig up articles like this. You did it every days since Iowa. How did that help today?

Ted got 33% of Trump’s vote. Every demographic went to Trump, including Conservatives. At this moment Trump has 35.1% and Ted has 11.7%.

In what universe does this depict Ted as now being the front runner?

100 vs 300.

You tell me which is bigger. This publication thinks it’s 100.

Excuse me while I bust a gut laughing at your desperation.

Many of Cruz’ supporters tonight were, but for a scant few, gracious towards Trump’s win ... But you and your cadre of die-hard TDS twits reveal yourselves insufferable fools.

Please, do continue with your meltdown.

I’m thrilled with Trump’s win, he did well. I’m also happy for Cruz third place finish, but I woulda been happier with a Cruz second place finish, because Kasich is a waste of space.

But third is still good, and the reason it is is because no one can really spin that Bush or Rubot is surging.

In fact, Rubot bombed, and that makes me happy. And it looks like the former federal prosecutor and doer of actual things for New Jersey, Krispy, is going to call it quits.

So hopefully the fat gets trimmed. Pun intended.

Time for some of these bums to git.

This is wishful thinking. Trump just won NW which put him ahead of the delegate count and the author say Ted Cruz is the Front Runner? No he’s not, at least not yet

I am happy with Cruz’s third place in New Hampshire. He has clearly established himself as the conservative alternative to Trump and I really hope that he will pull off a win in SC.

.. why Ted Cruz is now the Republican front-runner ..

Dang, I thought you were improving. Obviously, I was wrong.

ORDERLY! Take Cincy back to her room, and secure her in the usual way.

Rubio is on the way out. Carson and Fiorina are on the way out. Christie is on the way out, thank God.

Kasich and Bush will split the GOPe vote.

Trump is the wild card. I still think he’ll implode, or the party regulars will find some way to block him. (Who knows though — maybe I’m wrong.)

That would leave Cruz as the last man standing.

It’s about time we had a conservative standardbearer. You have to go back to Reagan, and before that Goldwater, to find a conservative.

I say Trump is leading, with a first and a second place finish.

And ahead in the polls by 16 in SC, will likely win there, too.

RFLOL...He's got a lot of momentum after a 23 point loss in NH.

Trump is ahead in SC in RCP averages by 16 points. His lead isn't going down in the next few days after winning NH. It may go up.

If Trump wins SC, he's a runaway train.

Trump is the overwhelming favorite.

Actually, he is in second place and will probably remain there. I can see him getting closer to Trump as time goes on, but I wouldn’t bet any money on it. As for the rest, they’re toast.

Looks like Trump is up as of right now by 17% in SC. That’s an awful lot of votes he needs to lose. It’s possible Ted makes a big move, but I have my doubts.
