I’m Catholic and this really bothers me (as have other things he has said and done). He should stay out of political matters like this. If he wants to have a cause - what about all of the Christians and others that are being be-headed in the ME. We’ve seen the effect that the migrants (mostly young, able men) are having in Europe - we don’t need that here, nor do we need MS-13 or others that want to harm and/or not assimilate into our country.
I have a heart and feel for these people that have a poor life, but it’s not up to the tax payers of the US to welcome them in illegally and support them for life. There are many Catholic and other religious organizations that help people all over the world (such as Samaritan’s Purse run by Franklin Graham). I would much rather contribute to those, help people and let them stay in their own country.
Hey Pope, take them to the Vatican with you.
