A day after the New Hampshire primary, Republican presidential hopefuls were set Wednesday to fan out across South Carolina and begin jockeying for the first-in-the-South primary that has a history of picking the eventual nominee.
Billionaire businessman and reality TV star Donald Trump has the early edge in polling there and in other key states as the race turns to the South and West over the next six weeks.
South Carolina has the potential to launch Mr. Trump into victories in a series of delegate-rich multistate primaries next month and turn his campaign into an unstoppable juggernaut toward the nomination.

As opposed to posters who Damn people all to hell for supporting one candidate over another?
As opposed to posters who call all supporters of one candidate complete and total idiots, over another?
As opposed to posters who have lost all semblance of intelligence and going off the deep end tossing vindictive diatribes into the faces of those supporting one candidate over another?
Most donors to this site probably like the format and the ability to add political commentary while discussing political action, and give as good as they get.
Those easily offended have a mouse with a scroll.
"The whole facade about "purity" is just that, a facade, especially when it comes to Donald Trump. The real reason most people on here hate him is because their are lime green with envy that he's wealthy and does what're the Hell he wants to do. He's a Alpha Male of the first order and jealous nothings HATE that. But instead of being truthful, they endlessly spew bilge. Then they act indignant when they get their faces rubbed in the s**t that they started. Hypocrites and cowards. Not surprising though."
Needs to be repeated
The fight is right. Trump just has the wrong strategy which is more statism.
We understand each other and what the problems are.
Must be the “Dirty Water”. :)
LOL!
Feel free to use it. It’s the truth, which can be unpopular, especially around here.
I do think before I speak or write. It helps cut down on making an ass out of yourself.
YEAH!!!
What happens when the “unstoppable” Trump meets the immovable Cruz? The one guy who won’t bend to the will of the establishment as Trump does for ethanol and other things.
That's just nonsense because if you're going by that premise then it could also be said the reason his fans support him is because he represents to them something they can never be nor accomplish themselves....Wealth, power, notoriety and woman...a male hero figure they can imagine living their life through..the Alpha Male they cannot be.....and for woman supporters the man they could never attract. So they would be perfectly happy to believe the empty promises he's making to them that he will do for them what they cannot do themselves.... when in fact they will be scarfing the crumbs off his table.
People need to really look at 'who' is wealth supports.......every Hotel, Golf Club, Building and property 'serves the elites of the World' with employees that for the most part are the least paid in society ........and what does he give the man on the street for all his building and success......a couple of skating rinks...a memorial site...and the like so you too can "play" and all of these with his Brand name fixed upon them.
Trump will continue to "build" his Elite Empire to serve and benefit the wealthy....as his daughter stated clearly New Years Eve......."Soon the Trump Brand will be in everyone's Home around the World".....
Trump is as much a socialist as Romney or any RINO. He wants to maintain the progressive income tax, NOT reform the unsustainable social security or medicare, make sure the government gives EVERYBODY health care who doesn’t have it (like food stamps?), have the government fund women’s health programs, keep ethanol subsidies, and on and on. He’s proposed no serious economic reforms at all. Like Romney, he appears to be stuck in the trap of being afraid to say he’ll cut ANY spending for fear of looking like a grinchy billionaire who doesn’t care about the “little guy.”
If you want to stop socialism, Cruz is the ONLY choice. He’s the only conservative running. Trump, like any RINO, is just for a slightly slower socialist destruction of the country than the Dummycraps.
The reason we have 19 tril. In debt is statism. He wants to take care of everybody’s healthcare needs but that will require more spending. You can’t solve statism with more statism.
Total nonsense. Trump’s policies suck compared to Cruz. That is the only issue. Cruz is fighting for the same conservative movement we’ve been fighting for for years. Trump doesn’t understand what conservatism is and doesn’t support it any more than the average Romney/McCain RINO. He spews enormously empty sloganeering that people mindlessly project whatever they want to into it. When it comes to specifics, Trump either provides none or hems and haws and hedges on every answer so that he could do absolutely whatever he wants as President without being committed to anything. And he is a New York Values liberal at heart with weak moral character who will not only not stop our country’s moral decline, but whose election would actually celebrate and affirm our moral decline, setting a horrible example for the next generation.
Trump may be unstoppable bit what makes a buffoon is failing to do the right thing or doing the wrong thing when all he had to was give a problem just a little thought. You can be put in that position when someone is able to manipulate you when you are emotionally compromised. I would say conservatives are emotionally compromised because of the danger we’re in. And Trump is no Hitler of course, not even near it but he is a strongman. He promises to smash our enemies like a juggernaut. But this isn’t WWE wrestling. This is serious business saving our country which we are failing to do so far. I want a cool head, someone who is a principle conservative who is resolved to turn this country around without transforming it further.
It is late in the day. The choices we make today could not only result in economic collapse but loss is U.S sovereignty. World war is possible without the strong stabilizing influence of America. Now, I get that Trump is his own man but he’s at the other extreme on relation to every other politician. He is really only beholden to himself. That can be just as dangerous as being bought and paid for by special interests that don’t coincide with the rights of Americans. And as far as spending his own money, Twitter is free. He has other expenses but he has an army of volunteerrs. He’s not going bankrupt. Win or lose he’ll still have billions.
Go preach elsewhere. I’m not buying anything you say.
I don't despise him, but based on my life's experiences, I judge him to be a liar.
Also, while he is very smart, he lacks wisdom, and the reasons he gave for his votes on TPA and the Iran deal, for me, is irrefutable proof of that.
His lack of wisdom would make him a dangerous man to have in the White House.
One final point; Can you see Ted Cruz building The Wall? I can't, it wouldn't even get close.
I should add, I recognize that many of the things he says are to keep his donors happy, and that Ted himself may not want to take those stances.
The military and Obama? Trump will win in a landslide based on the total rejection of Obama as CIC alone. Add everything else, (you know the list), and it will be a record breaking landslide.
We voted in Nov, 2010 and Nov 2014 to Stop Obama. Congress and the GOPe ignored us. We're really going to do it this time!
Get Out the Vote! Make it absolutely historic!
somehow I don’t think the military vote will be turned off by Trump sharing an audience comment about Cruz being a pu$$y and his other vulgarities. He speaks their language, just does it out in public unlike most politicos
Karl Cameron said the potential military vote in SC is 400,000?
The blue haired ladies with pearls will still have that nice man Jeb to vote for
You have described Trump well....and the outcome if he’s elected. Thank you!
