The White House expects the domestic economy to be able to power through the headwinds including a stronger dollar, weaker oil and financial turmoil. According to assumptions in the budget released Tuesday, the White House sees growth of 2.6% this year and in 2017, the best back-to-back years since 2005 and 2006. The U.S. economy grew 2.4% in 2015. In presenting his final budget, President Barack Obama sounded like he was in no mood for second-guessing. âOur economy is the strongest, most durable on Earth,â he said in the introduction. The White House forecast is not far away from consensus but itâs on the high side. A Wall Street Journal survey of 60 economists predicted 2.5% growth this year and 2.4% in 2017. The Federal Reserve has forecast 2.4% growth in 2016 and 2.2% in 2017. The Obama administration forecast has grown a little pessimistic over the six months. The White Houseâs new forecast for U.S. growth this year was shaved by 0.3 percentage points and next year by 0.2 percentage points from last summerâs estimates.

The biggest job growth is in federal gooberment and the VA counties surrounding DC are among the richest in the country.
But not Prince Georges. It’s a mystery why.
Pay no attention to the 10% loss in my 401K!!!!
I was there last March and you could literally feel the money bubbling up through cracks in the sidewalks.
I drove from L’Enfant Plaza all the way out to Bethesda on surface streets and did not see ONE boarded-up building or closed business.
Only on I-70 coming home, when I got to around Hagerstown, did I see some closed businesses and realize that I was back in the real world.
So apparently as we approach the coming election cycle the Democrat lying, POS. anus-orifices are trying to talk up their failed economy hoping they’ve created enough idiots with their dumb down tactics over the many years to have sufficient believers in their BS.
They probably do.
Their “forecasts” are about as reliable as their global warming forecasts.
NEVER RIGHT
Just more pissin in the wind from the Liar in Chief
The economy may be The October Surprise and not a nice one.
All the boys wear 1000 dolla suits and the girls have 500 dolla handbags, shoes, and dresses.
