A bill introduced in the Illinois House would make Aug. 4, President Barack Obama’s birthday, a state holiday.
State Rep. André Thapedi, D-Chicago, and three other Chicago-area Democratic lawmakers are sponsoring House Bill 4654, which was filed on Feb. 2. The legislation would make Obama’s birthday a legal holiday, meaning state offices and schools would be closed.
From the bill:
“The fourth day of August of each year shall be a legal holiday to be known as Barack Obama’s Birthday to be observed as a day on which to hold appropriate exercises in commemoration of our illustrious President. When August fourth shall fall on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be held and considered the holiday.â€
If passed by lawmakers and signed by the governor, Obama’s Aug. 4 birthday would become the 14th official state holiday. The legislation also would establish a commemorative holiday known as mayor’s day, in honor of late Chicago Mayor Harold Washington and Richard J. Daley. That holiday would be observed by Chicago Public Schools on March 4, though schools in that district would stay open.
Obama, who has his own problems with a divided Congress, will be in Springfield next week to address the General Assembly where he is expected to speak about bipartisanship. Gov. Bruce Rauner and Democratic legislative leaders remain deadlocked over a budget. Illinois is now eight months into the current fiscal year without one.

The most useful thing would be to name steets “Barak Obama Blvd”. Then you know where the high crime areas are and to stay away.

So is Obama Day celebrated by wiping one’s can with a copy of the federal Constitution?
Hell no!
Not even on a state level.
Put in a clause that says to establish the exact date a hard copy of the birth certificate must be provided.
If 2 of our greatest presidents, Washington and Lincoln, had to give up their days, then any other presidents should also be jammed into “presidents’ day”.
Hillary already has October 31st sewed up, so that leaves either Mohammed’s birthday or February 30th.
