The GOP front-runners who did not melt down into an oleaginous puddle of self-pity - the winners of the compos mentis caucus - are more different than their similar policy views would indicate. Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz are social and economic conservatives, and products of the tea party revolt. But they represent two entirely different approaches to the gathering and use of power.
Each had a defining moment in their rapid rise. For Rubio, it was the Gang of Eight's attempt to pass comprehensive immigration reform. Rubio now presents this as the ancient past, but I'm old enough to remember those days of yore in 2013 and 2014. Rubio was determined to make a mark by improving a broken immigration system and by helping the GOP move past a debate it was losing in a spectacularly damaging fashion. (Under the flag of "self- deportation," Mitt Romney had been recently crushed by 44 points among Latinos.)...

That's what I thought you would say. Santorum struggled with the same question about Rubio.
Cruz is indeed for open-borders and also supported TPA ...Trump is opposed to those very items that Cruz supports ..Trump is on the right side of the issues
“Cruz has been a narcissist since college,”
Unlike Donald Trump, who is a wilting violet afraid of mirrors that might reflect his shy self. A man so humble, he is forced to point out the personal flaws of every human on earth, except himself.
You guys have become laughable.
“Trump is on the right side of the issues”
Like ethanol? And you are absolutely 150% sure h will pickk the right supreme court jstics? And everyone else is so incompetent compared to Dear Leader Trump that no one else is allowed to speak? Hummmm, I seem to be hearing a narcissist described.
Do you support Cruz ?
A neuroscientist explains: Trump has a mental disorder that makes him a dangerous world leader
I won't hang around to defend it. Take it for what it's worth.
Are you sure Cruz will. Did not Cruz help get Roberts as Chief Justice?

Just read the next 15 or so posts. :)
It should open your eyes a bit. Well, maybe you, John. Don't know about the spurt.
Well, THAT'S gonna leave a mark, jeff...
Fine, no problem. I just thought that being a Trump supporter you might be able to articulate something positive.
I didn't mean to put you on the spot.
Uh-oh. You played the "Neuroscientist Card".
That means I get to play the "Neurologist Card" later today.
I'll be sure to ping you, AND magnanimously give you credit, DrewsDad. :)
“Did not Cruz help get Roberts as Chief Justice?”
Why don’t you post a list of every conservative who opposed Roberts, just to show how Cruz bucked the conservative tide of opposition. Throw in all the editorials by conservatives who wanted Roberts vetoed.
Oh wait, there really aren’t any, you are just reading someone’s talking points like a good little sheep.
I didn't mean to put you on the spot.
Hey, Kiddie Table. Why don't you quit harassing Jo with your lame n00b stuff?
You obviously haven't learned the proper FR verbal wrestling holds yet.
I'll give you credit for trying, but it just causes us to roll our eyes.
“Trump is on the right side of the issues”
That is an interesting comment.
Do you know how Trump views the practice of wealthy individuals using imminent domain to condemn the homes of neighbors so they can build parking spaces for their limos?
I think Trump is the best candidate on immigration. I haven’t heard Cruz talk a lot about his wife’s work with the CFR, have you?

O.K. I felt bad about confronting Mr. Joe as soon as I hit the send button. The question was unfair to any Trump supporter; I knew it was mean to do it.
Again, sorry to have put him on the spot.
Well .. I hate to contradict, but it was Alan Dershowitz, noted liberal lawyer and Professor at Harvard Law School, who declared Cruz “the most brilliant student he had ever taught”. And, that has been slightly confirmed by others that Cruz has the ability to recall every word that is said in a conversation; making him especially astute at debates.
And .. if Cruz never admits a mistake; why then would he publically “apologize to Dr. Carson” ..??
I think you are talking about some other person maybe ..??
Do you own property, or do you just rent it from the government like the rest of us proles, jeff?
Wonder if you've noticed that I can be meaner than a box of snakes, KT?
The Lame is strong in this one.
