"He said he's sorry that this happened and he wants to sit down and talk," Carson said in an interview with The Washington Post. "He wants to discuss the whole thing and clear the air."
"To be determined," Carson said when asked where they may meet. "Doesn't matter."
The Carson campaign has been critical of Cruz after his campaign spread false rumors during the Iowa caucus, and sent voicemails to Iowa precinct captains suggestings that Carson was dropping out of the race.

Read post 14.
He did that Saturday night. At the debate. On television.
"I'm sorry, Ben." Were the words he used.
I don’t understand apologizing then saying “But I did nothing wrong.” What’s he apologizing FOR?
It could also be construed as a tacit admission to the veracity of the charge.
I'd still vote for Cruz over any of the establishment, but Cruz is revealing him self more and more which I find disheartening.
It would be nice to be able to really get behind somebody for a change instead of the lesser of two evil thingy.
Undecided voters.
Record it Ben!
you can bet he’s begging only because he’s taken a huge hit politically.. If he were ahead in the polls he wouldn’t be giving Carson the time of day..
From Ben’s website. Two events tomorrow.

Well, yes, I suppose relaying a CNN report can be considered lying.
Pod people?
And he looked directly at him.
Or maybe Cruz is more concerned with the feelings of a fellow ‘Christian’ and wants to do the right thing!?
As has been said many times before, this wasn’t a malicious act anyway according to actual events/facts.
While the Carson, Trump, and Rubio people were telling caucus goers that Ted’s not a citizen.
I take you’ve never wanted to have a private conversation with someone in order to mend some perceived wrong.
Will be surprised if Carson agrees.
If he truly accepts the apology
he loses his talking points!
There is nothing to talk about. The damage is done. I’d tell the Canadian to KMA.
Why make it private when what you did is public?
Weren't we told it was "just politics" and the Cruz campaign said there was nothing to it? They even doubled down the day after. Cruz supporters even said it was not a big deal because Ben "didn't have a chance any way". Now, a week later he requests a private meeting. Because it's not going away. And it bothers him...because he knows it was wrong...
Except that woven into his apology were outright lies.
Blatant enough that even CNN used the word “lie” which is something I’ve seldom heard a news organization use about a candidate.
