Mygosh. It also shows which one responded best under pressure.
Trump had compassion for his pathological opponent.
Or Trump as with Carson, Didn’t hear his name called either.
I saw that video this morning.
Even when listening with old-fashioned ‘big’ headphones, the announcement od Carson’s name was faint.
I saw Trump show himself as he is, while I saw jeb! show himself, shallow as he is.
Thank you for posting this, Helicondelta!
A touch of class!!
If you watch the video, check out the body language of Jebbie Bush. As he passes Trump and Carson standing in the wings, he sort of taps Trump on the way past them and gives that eye roll as he passed them as if to say "what are those two jokers doing just standing there?" Then he went out to get his applause.
Good take.
Bump.
That’s my candidate, kind and protective, generous and looks out for others...
GO.TRUMP.GO!!!
Thanks for the clarification. I didn't see the debate, only the recaps this morning. I saw the clip where Carson was being passed up, and wondered what was going on.
Oh and by the way, we both know that the media will never acknowledge Trump's leadership. It seems that nothing positive about the man is ever reported. He's the designated villan.
Trash Trump as many will but that was pure class and not one candidate who almost knocked Carson down showed anything in the way of character.
I watched the intros also...ABC made a mess of it...and I saw Trump as a gentleman trying to help out. PS...I haven’t chosen a candidate yet
Will The Usual Suspects show up? :)
What an awkward moment for Dr. Carson.
Trump did what a *southern gentleman* would do.
Although it was a *small* thing...it demonstrated a lot.
I think Trump calculated quickly ...that he had more to lose if he walked past Ben ... and more to gain if he just hung there with him. It would have been funny if they both decided to hold hands and go out on stage *skipping*. I’d pay to see that.
Class, my a**
When Carson was competitive with Trump, Trump had this epic 95 minute MELTDOWN at an Iowa rally:
Donald Trump compares Ben Carson to a CHILD MOLESTER suggesting that the ‘pathological temper’ that drove him to try and stab someone as a boy cannot be cured
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said yesterday that rival Ben Carson has a ‘pathological temper’ that can’t be cured any more than a child molester can be cured.
Trump first made the claim in an interview with CNN, then continued the strong criticism during a 95-minute rant at an Iowa rally.
‘If you’re a child molester - a sick puppy - you’re a child molester, there’s no cure for that,’ Trump proclaimed, other than what he called the ‘ultimate cure’ - and death.
He said he didn’t believe Carson’s story about his religious awakening in his bathroom, either, and questioned the retired neurosurgeon’s tale about nearly stabbing a friend.
Trump imitated the incident, moving his belt up and down to demonstrate how difficult it would be to strike the buckle instead of flesh, and bellowed moments later, ‘How stupid are the people of Iowa?’
‘How stupid are the people of this country to believe this crap?’ Trump said during the campaign event at Iowa Central Community College.
We noticed it right away and its the sign of a person with empathy for others and not always thinking of himself first. In my life I have known a few people like Donald Trump. Brassy and outrageous and not PC but with a heart of gold. I truly believe that Donald Trump is that kind of guy which is why I overlook some of his warts.
Some people talk about their Christian faith and some people just live their Christian faith.
I saw that live, and thought that Trump had more humanity than the others combined.
Justice Kennedy's abuse of eminent domain still hangs over the Kelso decision by the Supreme Court and clouds understanding of how ED works. Trump will explain how ED is necessary for the Keystone Pipeline if there is to be a KS pipeline.
Carson was acting like an idiot. There was a guy behind him that kept telling him to go on stage because he had already been introduced. Carson just stood there. ....Trump was just standing next to him while waiting for his own name to be called and probably told Carson to walk out with him.
