The Classiest Debate Moment That No-One Noticed – Never Leave A Good Man Down
theconservativetreehouse.com ^ | February 7

Few people will talk about this, and fewer will even want to acknowledge it, but what Donald Trump did before the debate even began shows the measure of a real man's worth.

Trump and Carson

At the beginning of the ABC debate, each of the candidates were being introduced in a specific order. The first name called to the stage was Chris Christie. The applause was loud and lingered through the time when Martha Raddatz called the second candidate Ben Carson.

Dr. Carson did not hear his name called (easy to understand why when you listen to the video) and stood in the entry-way. The moderators, with their backs to the candidates, didn't notice his absence and called the third name on the list, Ted Cruz.

Ted walked past Dr. Carson and onto the stage. Carson remained in the awkward, and embarrassing position, 'no-mans-land', on-camera but out of sight of the live audience.

What happened next shows the remarkable character of Donald Trump.

The fourth name called was Donald Trump, but by then the back-stage crew and candidates were aware of Dr. Carsons' position. Trump slowly approached, and then realized the embarrassing position of a fellow candidate hanging in the wind.

Trump showed his leadership by standing right next to his friend, and not walking onto the stage.

The other names continued to be called, and proceeded as mentioned. But not Donald Trump, he remained with his colleague thereby reducing the internal anxiety felt by Carson.

It would have been very easy for Trump to walk by Ben, just like all the other candidates did. But instead he chose to wait, and remove the embarrassment factor by infinite magnitudes.

Then, like a boss, when Dr. Carson was called to the stage, Trump waited and allowed Ben to get the audience response and appreciation. It takes a lot of courage to make split second decisions like this, and it shows a remarkable insight into the man's character.

Wow, you really have it all figured out. /s

I’ll have to see if I have any of my old College Psychology Books lying around here so I can verify your Diagnosis.

All I will say is that it was a nice gesture. Not Nobel Peace Prize worthy since Trump is a Republican after all, but nice.

This is what happens when the moderator/announcers think they are the stars and are facing the audience. It is telling that they turned their back to the candidates.

"This is funny spin, but it definitely looked like both Trump and Carson were confused by the inept ABC handling of the intro."

Let's go to the Dash Cam Pro:

Trump kept his cool, but he was clearly confused.

THAT is exactly why the introductions went wrong!

I have to agree. As the person called after Carson, he would have plainly seen Carson not going out when he should, Ted Cruz should have stopped and waived Carson in front of him. He missed a great opportunity.

#145 Compared to a Sleazy. Foul mouthed serial womanizer whom takes great pride in Using Atlantic City politicians to steal a old woman’s home so he could build a garage for his Casino and the lie about it afterwards?

“I decided I didn’t need the property”.
A Flat out lie! A Judge ruled against him and Atlantic City in their attempt to take her property.

Yeah now there is a man of great character.

That act COULD have erased a great deal of Carson's hard feelings toward the Cruz campaign, remembering Iowa.

But...like you say...it didn't happen.

You got that right! These moderators were smarmy poseurs, but they far were better than the NBC and Fox News moderators.

Well I’m sure you will feel better about things when Trump is in the Whitehouse fixing problems and creating an atmosphere where prosperity can flourish. :-)

I didn’t notice any kindness. I noticed that Trump, like Carson, didn’t hear his name being called over the applause for the previous person’s entrance. I also noticed that classy Trump used the words sh*t & fu*k in NH townhalls; not only that, but their were many young children present.

Okay, please provide us the YouTube video of Trump using these words...? Should be easy if he indeed really did use these words at a YUGE event...?

I just rewatched it. I didn’t have the same take as this article last night, and I don’t have the opinion rewatching it.

Trump didn’t hear his name called, either.

They called Trump, he’s standing far behind Carson at the curtain, didn’t hear his name over the applause (didn’t move forward) and is obviously told by the stage hand to move forward, which he does seconds later to stand with Carson.

Both are obviously waiting for their names to be called.

This was a minor miscue on the part of both candidates, easy to understand why it happened, and no big deal.

This is my biggest concern about Trump supporters, and Conservative Treehouse is the worst offender: this idea that Trump can do no wrong and everything he does is planned or noble.

This post at CT, that Trump was being so noble because he didn’t hear his name, it’s just silliness. The necessity to impune perfection on a candidate is a worrisome quality.

Maybe. But it's obvious from your spin that you do not like Trump. Cannot hide that. And that's fine. But it's spin.
