For what it’s worth, I’ll NEVER support attacking a candidate through his family. Especially kids should be off limits, and I think it’s really bad form to take after a wife who is pretty much in the background and making occasional appearances or comments in support of their spouse. That shouldn’t be surprising to anyone.
I make an exception for Bill Clinton, because he and Mrs Clinton have been a political tag team match WITHIN government for so long that it’s obvious they are a political team.
Michelle, Heidi, whoever....are we really surprised they support their spouses?
I see zero exceptions for taking children to task. Maybe on actual policy pronouncements, the POLICY can be taken to task with a spouse. But the person is pretty much off limits. Especially looks, background, past, etc.
Heidi looks very depressed. She probably doubts her choice of joining the Cruz obsession with the Presidency.
As Merv Griffen used to say . . . “oooh!”
No. No, she won’t be a problem.
He’s as American as anyone on this site.
I don’t want another Michelle who decides what parents can feed their children or take on any official action for which she is not elected. Other than that I have no problem with wives.
If you vote against Ted Cruz, then you hate Jesus and America.
“a stint in the George W. Bush White House and a high-paying job at investment giant Goldman Sachs” That’s all you need to know...
Among those paying attention, she already did.
Ok, let me just say - I am no longer a Cruz fan. Voted for him twice in Texas. Have my own reasons.
However!
Heidi Cruz has done NOTHING, NOTHING to warrant criticism from the people. She is an accomplished, educated woman. She is his wife and she has not in any way stolen the spotlight or jumped in under his coat tails as he has represented Texas. She has not inserted herself into his political career and has not tried to grab attention here in Texas, that I know of.
Their little girls are precious. Those little girls need to know that being an accomplished woman is ok.
I say leave Heidi Cruz alone. She is not a Michelle Obama. She has her own life and her own accomplishments and doesn’t need the public to pat her on the head.
Again, this is coming from someone who is not particularly enamored of Cruz.
Just my two cents.
Heidi isn’t running, frankly its distasteful to go after a politicians family at all even if he uses them as a prop for votes.
