Except for perhaps Bill Clinton, no candidateâs spouse in the 2016 presidential campaign has proved as productive and effective as Heidi Cruz.
Beyond the mother-of-two charm that softens Sen. Ted Cruzâs hard edges, and her deep Christian faith, the California-born Heidi Cruz, 43, is an accomplished executive and political adviser â more in the model of Democrats like Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton than Republicans like Laura Bush.
Her impressive resume includes a masterâs degree in business administration from Harvard University, a stint in the George W. Bush White House and a high-paying job at investment giant Goldman Sachs, where she gained the Wall Street savvy that has made her a fundraising dynamo.
But also perhaps with the exception of former President Clinton, no other political spouse faces as much risk of turning from asset to liability.
Heidi Cruzâs links to Goldman, where she has taken a leave of absence as managing director of the private wealth management office in Houston, are beginning to distract from her husbandâs populist message as a crusader against the moneyed interests of Wall Street and Washington.

I was in elementary and junior high school then. Pray tell, how did I cause our defeat?
Ok, let me just say - I am no longer a Cruz fan. Voted for him twice in Texas. Have my own reasons.
However!
Heidi Cruz has done NOTHING, NOTHING to warrant criticism from the people. She is an accomplished, educated woman. She is his wife and she has not in any way stolen the spotlight or jumped in under his coat tails as he has represented Texas. She has not inserted herself into his political career and has not tried to grab attention here in Texas, that I know of.
Their little girls are precious. Those little girls need to know that being an accomplished woman is ok.
I say leave Heidi Cruz alone. She is not a Michelle Obama. She has her own life and her own accomplishments and doesn’t need the public to pat her on the head.
Again, this is coming from someone who is not particularly enamored of Cruz.
Just my two cents.
Heidi isn’t running, frankly its distasteful to go after a politicians family at all even if he uses them as a prop for votes.
Agreed, except to say that Hillary and Bill have made it clear from the beginning that they are a “twoforone” team; they say it proudly and therefore as a team they are fair game.
I agree.
Michelle, Heidi, whoever....are we really surprised they support their spouses?
Do some investigating. Heidi Cruz is not just a candidate's spouse. She is Ted Cruz's in-house political handler.
Heidi Cruz has a Masters of European Business from Universite Libre de Bruxelles in Brussels, Belgium and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Heidi Cruz is also member of the globalist New World Order, Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) and is a former Director for the Western Hemisphere on President Bush's National Security Council.
The CFR goal of globalization is to limit and abolish nationalities and create a global community? Read the Mission Statement on its website. They would necessarily have to limit, dilute and dissolve our Constitution to achieve this. It is not be hard to connect the dots.
The fact that Heidi Cruz is a Vice President of Goldman Sachs (currently on a leave of absence without pay for Ted Cruz's presidential campaign), the fact that the CFR works to reduce financial regulations on transnational corporations, and (is for) economic consolidation into regional blocs such as NAFTA or the European Union, puts an ominous question mark on the whole Cruz campaign, or should.
All my life my wife has helped and supported me with my work. She has kept out financial books at home. She has listened and advised me about difficult work situations and helped me study to pass numerous certification, qualification and proficiency courses.
Can anyone doubt that Ted Cruz will consult his wife in any given situation? A NWO insider always inside the mind of Ted Cruz makes me fear for our future as much as Obama has.
I don’t care. Of course she supports his candidacy. She’s his wife.
The case of “Clinton & Clinton”, though, is an actual political team.
Never, ever, underestimate the power of a woman, and especially one closely linked to a president. Hillary should be a good example of that.
He may be the head, but she’s the neck that turns the head.

Yes, but that’s an absolutely horrible picture. The microphone shadow makes her look like she wet her dress. And don’t think for a minute that the RATs won’t make fun of her.
Read it again, I used your term by saying “your type”. Not you personally.
Read my last teply to 2dv.
Sen. Cruz has to choose. Senator, are you a Globalist or a Nationalist?
Husband/wife act as a unit, in some cases. Bill/Hillary comes to mind.
Of course the "unit" dynamic is highly variable, Lincoln's wife was in no position to "lead" her own life, let alone manage the marriage or some aspect of national policy. And sometimes husband's in political position do things to please or give advantage to their spouse's interest (which is also a self-interest). I think it's prudent to understand the husband/wife relationship.
Describe your military service to us.
Lord have mercy what a remark.....

I saw Billy the week before lightning fingers son Eddie died
