CPR wouldn’t have helped and if anything, may have made it worse, with each compression further shredding cardiac tissue on the fragments. This dude was dead from the second he was hit, just took a few minutes to realize it.

You are probably correct...

The claim of excuse here, however, was a heart hit.

One can’t always tell, the bleeding can occur internally.

Still until medical expertise arrived and deemed otherwise, they were obligated to assume the best. No excuse for that, which is why the testimony occurred.

The point is, they left the girlfriend to frantically pound on doors while they called their union rep. They wouldn’t even call 911 (dead men tell no tales?).

Just sick.

There seems often to be a nod-wink card passed out among what we used to know as public servants.

For crying out loud how dense do you have to be to flunk CPR/First Aid?

I would train guys straight from the production line, half of them had trouble getting a dozen bars in a box and none of them flunked.

It is mostly common sense and not panicking.
