Thousands take part in anti-Islam protests across Europe

Thousands of people are taking part in protests against Islam and immigration in several European cities.

Police in Dresden say they expect about 15,000 protesters at a rally organized by the group Patriotic Europeans against the Islamization of the West. Known by its German acronym PEGIDA, the group emerged in Dresden two years ago and has become a magnet for far-right and anti-immigrant sentiment.

[snip} Similar, smaller PEGIDA-style protests were planned in France, Britain, Poland, the Czech Republic and the Netherlands.

Nationalist groups in Europe have been galvanized by the unprecedented influx of refugees from Africa, Asia and the Middle East last year.

It is much easier to deal with a few thousand traitors in your own government, than it is to deal with the millions of foreign hostiles they will immigrate.

The fact that it took so long is Hitler’s fault. He discredited the entire idea of nationalism for half a century, even balanced, necessary assertion of a national identity and sovereignty. Now all of Europe has to dog paddle back from the opposite extreme, to which extreme they arrived in a collectivist ocean liner.

It may already be too late for America. The southern border is too porous, the authorities are complicit, and the public lives in a dream world where news happens on TV, the same place where they tell you officially what to think.

Perhaps not. As long as Republicans win the general election and Not the democrats, we'll be in the first stage of turning everything around. Also, the next Pres will probably get to select two new SCOTUS judges. Maybe even three.

It’ll take more than a Republican in the WH and Republicans dominating the Capitol to turn things around. It’l have to be a Republican party that is psyched and ready to bloody some noses and do what has to be done, such as shutting the border and ousting the illegals, and taking the worst that the MSM can do and not hedging or weakening their resolve, but just tell them all to STFU and get on with it.
