This confirms tweets I posted here from a few days ago before the news went mainstream.

I noticed a few days ago for the first time Tweets of Spetz in Syria made public / out in the open. That made me go Hmmmm. I will post a link to my earlier post here.

What I am reading is: Russians plan to have Aleppo fall. Secures rear of forward advance eastward of the Spetz led Assad forces - civilians are told to flee because ISIS land will go through an extermination campaign.

The Russians want to do this before the western / Gulf states move into eastern Syria and divide the country up.

These are guys that would make any SS unit quiver in their boots in another era.

They are definitely in the top 10 of special forces in the world but their brutality if let off any kind of ROE restrictions or PC considerations would be awe inspiring in any era of human conflict.

I’m not saying that’s good, bad or indifferent. It’s just a statement of fact. Against a horde of internet recruited non-military irregulars they wouldn’t stand the proverbial chance in hell.

Isn’t a shame we have to watch this instead of taking the lead?

At least one world leader has the guts to wipe out that vermin. War sucks and innocent people will die, but the current U.S. strategy only prolongs the suffering.

Congrats to the U.S. policymakers (Whitehouse, Congress, and Pentagon) for sending the Middle East back into the arms of the Russian Bear. The old Soviet Union couldn’t have asked for better allies.

You know darn well that King Opie isn’t going to be happy that Putin takes his ISIL army out.

This can be a serious setback in his timetable for the New Caliphate.

If you followed the Russian/Syrian campaign since last fall, you can see them methodically building up to retaking Aleppo

I stopped following the war a months ago but could see from the progression that retaking Aleppo would be the jewel in the crown for Assad being able to control central and eastern Syria, not just the western and northwester coastal cities and loc’s

IF Russia is successful here then it may put some steel in the backbone of the Iraqi army and certainly the Kurds

Without any proof, I’ve been quite sure both Spetznaz and mercenaries have been very involved in Syria since the Russians entered the fray, months ago.

Russia is no less able to play the wests: no boots on the ground game.

I am a USAian, love USA, support USA military, but USA is headed for a great big fall...
All her enemies are just waiting to hit, at the same time; externally and internally. There are so many USAians who continue to image that USA is invincible; they will be the last to know... the very last.
