Communism sucks. Socialism does too. Ask the people who survived both systems. As Fidel came to power in 1959, how many Americans slid onto rafts to get into Cuba? Or took the last ship to Havana? I'll need actual names.
Attention to all you college kids out there so starry-eyed for Bernie - are you serious?
But you're young. Far and wide you've been educated by Liberal pro-BDS professors, so you're not expected to know too much except that the two most reliable beacons of tolerance and liberty, the United States and Israel, are on the wrong side of history.
Pure brainwashing, but you will grow up. There is no excuse however for people already grown up who still cheer for Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton.
You really think socialism is okay?
Let's be clear. There is no difference between socialists, liberals and progressives. They are all Communists, or shades of the same mentality.
Either way, it's about taking from the rich and giving it to the poor in order to make everybody equal, meaning equally miserable. It's also about a one-man show. No checks. No balances. Like Obama visiting a Baltimore mosque to offer Muslims his love and concern.
But Obama visited no synagogue to share Jewish grief for loved ones being slain in Israel, most recently the 19-year-old woman of valor Hadar Cohen.
Nor has Mr. Obama ever shared concern for Jews being tormented on campus.
One man, one rule, can be so arbitrary.
Communism sucks. Ask the people who lived there. Call it by its more pleasant and more acceptable name, socialism; same answer. Unbearable.
The only people who win under that system are the medaled guys on the Kremlin balcony waving down to the impoverished suckers.

That's actually an amazingly preceptive observation there, HTRN!
The same thought came to me just about an hour ago, while responding to a FaceBook "friend" who had shared some nonsense about about some comedian mocking Republicans by dressing up as Jesus and regurgitating Republic sound-bites.
In short: The question "What would Jesus do?" is simply not applicable to the political realm (e.g., in regards to capital punishment, confiscatory taxation, etc.).
Regards,
And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more -- we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward. ...Solzhenitsyns thoughts on how to deal with state security should it ever try to arise here; we have a lot more at our disposal than axes, hammers, pokers, butcher knives, et al, thanks to the Second Amendment that the left keeps trying to suppress. Those in the gun-free zones who actually obey are out of luck, as Syed Farook and so many others have demonstrated in the past.
No, we are not collectors and redistributors. Jesus condemned that system and never instituted it for Christians.
1. They weren't doing it right.
2. The right people weren't in charge.
3. It was made to fail by outside forces.
4. The best government is the one that does the most for its citizens whether they want it or not.
5. We don't mean socialism. We just want a little mandatory government redistribution and only for awhile.
Kindergarten teachers get used to repeating the same lesson over and over again, but they're dealing with 5-year-olds. We're dealing with professors and college students. But there I repeat myself.
In the who is more progressive fight with Hillary,Comrade Bernie has upped his game and is now sponsoring a bill to move the nationâs capital to Caracas. All Congress people are advised to bring their own toilet paper.
Try not to quibble. The household that was supposed to be of faith has dropped it. Leaving the way open for socialism in just the ways I have described but never advocated being taken.
And by the way the USA can’t pride itself as being that. It never had a holy covenant; why would you expect it to be anything more than a piece of world that either benefits or fails to benefit by historical proximity to bona fide Christians?
I see His word as hinting such a lack. He will NOT find faith when He comes back. Things will be pretty fair from a worldly point of view, if other scripture is to be taken at face value.
You keep on missing the obvious, being caught up in your intricate philosophy.
Socialism doesn’t proclaim (however falsely) liberty? Have you been sleeping for the last 50 years? Do we need to ask Michael Moore in here?
FREE STUFF!
The college kids are like the monkeys that put their hand in the trap to get some food.
The despicable uccutards showed us how low the Socialists sink to promote their vile ways.
A credible gospel appearance is the only thing that can break this kind of spell.
It did so, even when it came in Catholic and Orthodox garb (I like to see sacred cows tipped, but truth is truth), at the demise of the USSR. Solidarnosc anyone?
(Now watch Olog-hai’s worldly head explode)
Communism has no idea of freedom as the possibility of choice, of turning to right or left, but only as the possibility of giving full play to one's energy when once one has chosen which way to turn. ...>Not to mention the explicit opposition to Christianity of socialism.
The Russian Revolution, p. 76
Yup... Caesar (as a state entity) can’t be baptized into Christ. Such a baptism would need to be based on voluntary belief.
This is as about as silly as asking the DMV to run a church.
Happily, salt and light CAN spill out from the church into Caesar’s realm. We see things like this happen in the Old Testament on the wake of saving miracles, although the response can be typically Caesar-ish (”Whoever blasphemes this God will have his house destroyed, etc.”) We have a BIT more enlightened Caesar and church to work with here, though the gap between Caesar and barbarism is rapidly closing. One thing the answer can never look like is the church taking over Caesar duties. Been there, done that, have the lack of biblical direction and the historical carnage to show for it.
Well guess what, Christianity has a war to win too... you haven’t controverted a thing about the manner of the lie, only its substance.
In fact the more you argue the better the case I make. Want to continue?
It’s up to Christians to preach, and it’s up to Jesus to conquer. That is what the Second Coming is about.
Bmk
There are plenty of references to how Christians fight.
Funny you would want to gin up work from our end but not recognize this!
Furthermore, Jesus proclaims true liberty (part of the Gospel message: Isiaiah 61:1-2 and Luke 4:18-19), but socialism proclaims the opposite.

“Yep. “Democratic Socialist” de-fangs the argument because the cretins think they can always vote them out if things aren’t going well.”
Vote ‘em out or shoot ‘em out. It’ll come to that.
