Trump on Cruz feud: 'I don't care about that anymore'
CNN ^ | February 4, 2016 | MJ Lee

Posted on 02/04/2016 8:57:45 PM PST by justlittleoleme

The day after accusing Ted Cruz of winning the Iowa caucuses unfairly and asking for a rematch in the state, Donald Trump says he's now over it.

"I'm so much into this, into New Hampshire, that I just — I don't care about that anymore," Trump said in an interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper in Manchester, just five days out from next Tuesday's primary contest here. "This is the place I'm focused on now."

These comments, made at Theo's, a popular local pizza joint that serves up specialty Italian and Greek dishes, were in stark contrast to a tirade of angry tweets Trump sent out the day before, where he charged that the Texas senator had committed "fraud" in Iowa and called for a "new election."

The controversy started when CNN reported Monday night that Carson would go home to Florida following the Iowa caucuses instead of flying directly to the early voting states New Hampshire and South Carolina. The network added that he planned to stay in the race.

Some Cruz allies shared that news widely on the night of the caucuses, including to Carson supporters, but did not include the part about Carson remaining in the race.

Excellent post.

But when any unpleasant truths come out about the Donald, Trump supporters put their fingers in their ears and scream, Cruz is evil.

They’re gonna need all their fingers because more and more is coming out about Trump’s positions in the too recent past.

Cruz is not evil, he is a typical career politician who will use any tactic, including spreading false rumors about other candidates. He is the UNtrusTED.

Well the polls had him winning Iowa also.

But he didn’t.

He may win N.H. but his glow is fading.

Now in 2016, the Republican consultant class and RINOs in Washington are lining up behind Donald Trump.

Well, you haven't convinced me.

Say - maybe you should post this 70 or 80 more times, IN ALL CAPS.

Just to "drive the point home"...

There is nothing specific in your post except insults about Ted Cruz, whereas others on this thread have posted specific positions that Trump has taken in the past which are not conservative.

You can’t just keep posting Ted Cruz is a bad dude and expect to convince anyone.

Particularly since Ted Cruz is a very Good Dude.

What would it take to convince you then?

Just curious.

That’s BS and you know it. This is an election where people are sick and tired of lying politicians. They are all talk and no action and the people of this country are sick of it after 7 years of Hope and Change. Rubio can’t change things and Cruz can’t change things because they are puppets on a stick to their SuperPacs. We the people are sick of this crap and it’s time for a non-politician to lad this country for a change. I support Trump mainly because he has no strings attached to himself and why in hell would a multi billionaire want to take on a job like this unless he really wanted to help this country? Think about it? Would you?

Trump has pretty much been exposed: #trumptantrum

Hey - if Trump has exposed himself to you, justlittleoleme, you should probably file a police report...

Since Trump sees everything through the prism of a “deal”, what are we voters to him in this deal scenario?

Obviously we’re not the competition, the other candidates are that.

Also obviously the prize “property” they’re after is the presidency, so we’re not the prize property.

But they need votes to “buy” this particular prize property, so are we the currency? Are we the “bank” that provides the “money” (votes)?

And after he gets his prize property (the presidency) what will we become then? What will be our collateral for the political capital we will have spent on him?

Not correct. Trump was polling lower in Iowa than all other 49 states for 6 months. He was never in first place in Iowa polls until the very last week before caucus. Cheating UNtrusTED spread falls rumors about Dr. Carson quitting the race. That is the tactic liberal democrats use. Without cheating, UNtrusTED loses Iowa caucus, because only 3 votes stolen from Dr Carson were enough for UNtrusted to win.

I do not understand how Cruz supporters can tolerate a cheater.

I don’t have a “Trump take”.

I just listened to the Radio most of the day and caught the Vibe. Then I came home and watched the Trump Speeches. What I wrote is what I think is happening.

It’s just my opinion. I could be wrong but as I said, time will tell.

Look, that cheating meme has been exposed over and over. Ted Cruz did not cheat. Plus he had the courtesy to apologize for the misunderstanding which Ben Carson accepted.

Then Ben decided to make some political hay out of it... a very sorry move to a candidate who had been perfectly nice to him, unlike Trump who had brutally savaged him and basically ran him out of contention.

If you want to believe that Ted Cruz cheated in spite of everything, I guess you will do so.

I cannot help someone who doesn’t want help. But if you ever want it, let me know.

This is Donald Trump’s current project: Make America Great Again! He is running to be selected as the leader of a movement that will do that. He will probably make a great deal of progress in eight years, he will need a strong second that he can train to carry on the project. So look for whom he picks for his VP.

That’s a nice project but a somewhat broad one.

Make America Great again.

But how will he do it? And will he be able to stay interested or want to move on to another project?

I wish I could trust him. I wish I could like him.

But I can’t.

LOL!

Have you read The Art of the Deal? He explains his basic system in that book. Donald Trump has the most extensive paper trail of all the candidates.

Trump can backpedal like a 5 time Tour de France winner in reverse.

Is there any issue in which he hasn’t backpedaled in the last 3 years?
