The day after accusing Ted Cruz of winning the Iowa caucuses unfairly and asking for a rematch in the state, Donald Trump says he's now over it.
"I'm so much into this, into New Hampshire, that I just â I don't care about that anymore," Trump said in an interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper in Manchester, just five days out from next Tuesday's primary contest here. "This is the place I'm focused on now."
These comments, made at Theo's, a popular local pizza joint that serves up specialty Italian and Greek dishes, were in stark contrast to a tirade of angry tweets Trump sent out the day before, where he charged that the Texas senator had committed "fraud" in Iowa and called for a "new election."
The controversy started when CNN reported Monday night that Carson would go home to Florida following the Iowa caucuses instead of flying directly to the early voting states New Hampshire and South Carolina. The network added that he planned to stay in the race.
Some Cruz allies shared that news widely on the night of the caucuses, including to Carson supporters, but did not include the part about Carson remaining in the race.

Trump is constantly threatening to sue people or entities but rarely follows through so this type of about face is nothing new. He probably just realized that the point about Cruz had been made and there is not grounds for a federal investigation into Iowa.
College? Working here alone?
you would have been more than welcome :)
You know, I could ask much the same about Cruz supporters.
With the standards you ask, pretty much the only consistent one in this race is the Bern.
As for your question about pro-abortion? Yes. Yes you can be. When I was much younger, all I had to do was to hold my baby brother in my arms just hours after he was born.
Sometimes you just go along with what’s popular because your focus is on something you consider more important, and then one particular event blindsides you and makes you realize what IS important in life.
Did it really happen like that to the Donald? Got me; I’m not a mind reader. But you’re talking like it’s impossible to change, and I’m living proof that it is possible.
Particularly since Ted Cruz is a very Good Dude.
***
This must be because I’m half-asleep, but now I’m imagining Cruz cosplaying as a certain Undertale character.
Internship as a chaplain in a Brooklyn hospital. You can imagine how this Iowa boy was like in the big city, even if I wasn’t exactly a boy at that point.
Still, it was a lot more tolerable than I thought. New Yorkers, despite being... well, you know it better than I do. But they’re still people too, not an alien species.
And again, I wish I’d known! But so it goes. I’ll be dreaming about a huge Italian meal tonight instead.
Must be tough when THE DONALD lives rent-free in your heads 24/7 ...
BWAH-HAW-HAW-HAW-HAW!
I love it!
Chaplan. You’re a man of God. That’s Great!
It must have been so hard at first.
You would have been more than welcome.
And no, people are either too busy to give you the time of day or are looking for a fight.
NYC is a jungle that doesn’t suffer the weak.
Obviously you’re tough.
Which hospital?
I see you’ve been taking lessons from ELT again.
Yes....it was very good. I think he will win this.
Oh, come on. Trump didn’t need this to get coverage and interviews for himself. His tactic was to push the squabble into the MSM, and let them attack Cruz (maybe even dragging in Rubio too), while he (Trump) walks away as the “anti-politician”. (Riigghht...)
It appears he has succeeded.
Trump made his point. People know what Cruz did, and that he lied about it. It’s one delegate. Bigger fish to fry now.
Crazy Trump is NOT Presidential material. Far from it.
“He FIGHTS like everything to win the Presidency on “ building a wall and sending the illegals back home.” THEN... he becomes President Trump and says “ I don’t feel that way about the wall any more.””
What a totally stupid comparison you try to make here. What a stretch. Back to the drawing board with you.
“Those polls are dropping like a rock”
Blatant lie. Trump’s poll numbers are great in NH.
Oh I'm so very very sorry....
Trump is a obvious schitzo!
I think that's possible...
Let's take one change in his approach to the single-payer health care issue. One proposals put forth in 1999, when he last considered running for president was a single-payer health care program. "We had a much different country" when he proposed a single-payer system. Now he advocates a PRIVATE health care system.
"I am going to take care of everybody. I don't care if it costs me votes or not. Everybody's going to be taken care of much better than they're taken care of now." All one needs to do is read chapter 8 in his book, Time to Get Tough to understand that when Trump calls for "Universal Health Care" he means "everyone gets covered." I am for Universal healthcare as well because I want everyone covered.
In his book, he outlines the changes he wants to make with healthcare:
1.) Repeal of the McCarren Ferguson Act (selling across state lines).
2.) Expansion of Health Savings Accounts.
3.) "Making sure most Americans have access to PRIVATE health insurance in a vibrant and competitive market."
4.) Reform of our Veterans Administration health care system.
The refreshing thing about Trump is that he says what is on his mind regardless of the consequences. Then he moves on. This drives the pundits crazy, but I like it.
Honestly, I don’t mind it either. Lots of great leaders and managers are loudmouths. Ever hear of the one-minute manager? They give the feedback on the spot, then move on.
People calling him unstable ...how can this guy have amassed the organization and wealth he has by being mentally unstable? I don’t think so.
I think the MSM is trying to characterize Trump's attack mode as being too brutal because they want to neutralize it. They are afraid of it because he is so effective. Trump will need to continue developing it because the DemonRATs will put their game on when they have worked out the Hildebeast problem as she is a sinking POS.
And the Senate doesn't love Cruz why? Cuz he's nasty.
