D.C. welfare moms are having to put up with lodging in hotels that give them prepared meals, cable TV, internet WiFi access, and maid service that don't meet their standards:
"Tiera Williams and her four children dodge cars on a winter evening as they cross the parking lot of the Days Inn to the Washington motel room the children call "Mommy's house."
"People at the Days Inn - one of at least 12 motels being used by the city to house 730 homeless families this winter â lean over the balcony that overlooks the courtyard lit by the December glow of yellow lights."
"They occupy a hidden world of desperation and poverty mixed with every-other-day maid service, free WiFi, continental breakfast in the lobby, and lunch and dinner in the 170-room motel's banquet room."
Lunch and dinner in the banquet room meets my definition of hidden desperation.
"They've been living here since August when Williams - then six months pregnant and unemployed with no place to go â called the city's homeless hotline.
She opens the door to her unit, ushering her children inside a space that she describes as "the size of two jail cells." The decor is pleasant enough, with maroon carpeting, wood paneled headboards and a television in an armoire near a bathroom vanity."
If Tiera is unhappy with her room, why doesn't she go to the front desk and change her reservation to get a larger suite, as any person paying her own way would do?
"Williams dumps bags of groceries on the motel room desk. In the mini refrigerator, she stacks yogurt, apples, oranges and a roasted chicken they will have for dinner that night. She uses her food stamps to buy meals because she doesn't like eating the pasta, casseroles, chicken, hot dogs and other dishes the city provides at the motel."

Which one? In some of these cases, 4 kids = 4 daddies.
Do not worry, my friend. At some point, if you feed the parasites enough of the host, the host dies. We are close to that point. The death throes will not be pretty as the parasites will all die while the host rearranges itself.
Move away from the city. Learn to support yourself on a basic level. Buy physical gold and silver. Relax and let nature take its course.
Give her a box and point her to the nearest bridge. problem solved
While delivering Christmas dinners to the “needy” for church one year, my sister (divorced, working mother with no support)and her 10 year old son saw enough of these people to completely change their thinking.
Walking up flights of stairs, loaded down with grocery bags of food, having the door opened to see able-bodied men and women with better furniture than my sister. They instructed that my sister “just put everything over there on the table”. No thank you, but a couple of inquiries as to whether or not there were presents for the kids this year as well.
Never mind that these are the same people who receive a nice big government cheque from us every month. Disgusting.
Exactly. The Left’s agenda must be protected as it can NOT survive true scrutiny.
As hard as the human race has had it since its inception, they always find a way to to make time to scamper off behind the bushes (or not!) and copulate.

Wait lets just stop paying worthless fools NOT to work....work or die.
More like a world of laziness and indolence.
A world full of wastrels that I seek to keep my family far from, lest their values rub off.
Who’s going to watch the kids when the bus comes by to take her to vote?
“Tiera Williams and her four children dodge cars on a winter evening as they cross the parking lot of the Days Inn to the Washington motel room the children call “Mommy’s house.”
You mean they actually had to leave the room to get their meals? That’s racist.
Maybe she can get arrested for something - say shoplifting - and get paid the 9Gs for not doing it again as the wisemen who run DC propose.
Other than that she’s an ungrateful lout. Give her a one way ticket to live somewhere with real poverty and homelessness - I happen to know there are many unoccupied ditches in rural Turkey ... perhaps a kindly neighbor would give her a 6” plank for a roof.
I remember seeing some welfare mama on TV in a hotel somewhere with 8, 9, 10 (who knows?) kids scrambling around complaining to the reporter that “I gots all these kids - SOME damn body has to be responsible to take care of them. You people needs to pay!”
Ah....remember it well. Father’s Day in the hood.
It’s the same with the Nigerian friends I have. They are hard-working and cannot stand American blacks.
BTW, I know in our state the baby mamma's don't collect child support from the daddy because it represents a dollar to dollar decrease in the amount the state pays her. The minimum court ordered child support is $250 per month. The state pays $400. So unless baby daddy has a bunch of assets or pulls in over $60K per year, they don't want baby daddy child support. Just taxpayer child support will be fine.
“While working in our churchâs food pantry...”
I have never understood why productive people in society need to volunteer in food pantry’s and soup kitchens instead of requiring the recipients of these programs to do this work. Its the lazy bums and drunks that should be sorting the food, ladling their own damn soup and washing the dishes.
I helped carry bags from our food pantry to a mom that had called the church - couldn’t get there during pantry hours, but would come after work and get them.
Sounded good to me. She was wearing scrubs, and I helped her track down the bags and then carry them to her car - a Cadillac Escalade, and an able-bodied 20-something man sitting in the passenger seat.
Hard to keep your heart right after that...try to stay thankful and serve...because you are not serving them...gotta do it for the one who gave it all for me...
