A top staffer for Sen. Rand Paul’s campaign said Wednesday that Donald Trump was a key reason for Paul’s failed presidential bid.
Republican Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul announced Wednesday morning that he was dropping out of the race for the White House after a poor performance at the Iowa Caucuses. Paul’s Chief Strategist Doug Stafford led a conference call with reporters Wednesday morning where he said Trump sucked the “oxygen out of the room,†making it nearly impossible for Paul to get his message out.
Bew hew.
Trump got to where he is in the polls because Rand failed.
Rand had 6 to 12 months of the limelight in 2013 & he spent his time promoting half baked amnesty for illegals. Then Cruz emerged along with Tom Cotton; and later Dave Brat.
By the time Trump came around in 2015, Rand was buried.

While not my favorite, Rand Paul is an honorable man; and I think his support will largely go to Cruz. Sure isn’t going to Trump.
