As I reported yesterday, at various times Donald Trump has had hundreds of millions of dollars in loans from Citibank and Goldman, some of which have been repaid, some of which were discharged in bankruptcy when Trumpâs Altantic City casino went belly up. By Trumpâs own standard, Citibank and Goldman own him, too.

Wow, CommieState with another bogus anti-Trump article...that is a surprise!
“No, they contributed to Cruzâs campaign, meaning they back his politics. My Mortgage company never asked my political affiliation.”
Is your mortgage over a couple million?
Do you hold a political office?
Cmon folks, you call Cruz evil for a million dollar GS loan he disclosed years ago but give Trump a pass on hundreds of millions in bank loans and foreign investments.
leon is dumber than a pile of fence posts
Trump tweet on Cruz: “Goldman Sachs owns him, he will do anything they demand. “
Yes, the bank owns the home until you do. But residential loans are different from commercial loans. Most notably, commercial loans typically have call provisions.
Try renting out your home for more than s year, the bank will reclassify the property and probably demand a refinance to a commercial loan.
Iâm Hillary Clinton, and I approve of this message.
thanks for mentioning Clinton. Trump donated thousands to the Clinton foundation and said hitlery would be a GREAT negotiator on te Iran deal
They are a forum for people who like to blog, like to author articles, and in general fit the category “elitist”. This is my opinion from having visited and posted there.
They don’t like Trump, and for much the same reason as the folk at National Review. They do not believe Trump is in their “class”.
As far as having loans, whether this is good or bad depends on the backing of the loan. When I had a business loan, it was backed by valuable real estate and when I sold the property after using the loan to rehabilitate the property, I was able to pay off the loan and make a profit. My guess is that this is how Trump makes his millions and therefore we should all have debt such as this. I can’t imagine why Leon Wolfe would actually object to this as I am certain he is a capitalist.
“Trump tweet on Cruz: âGoldman Sachs owns him, he will do anything they demand. â”
So says the man who owns a building on Wall Street.
Silly, but I will pay along. Where would Trump’s four bankruptcies land him?

Trump on the Bank Bailouts, “Trump said on CNN: “I do agree with what they’re doing with the banks. Whether they fund them or nationalize them, it doesn’t matter, but you have to keep the banks going.”
Well, that was basically my point. Commercial loans fuel commerce in this country. Clients/businesses that service their debt well, make big money, for both client and lender. Banks don’t generally want to piss off that kind of business.
Hey, I’m not either. I do have friends who are big real estate developers who showed me how it’s done.

Trump on bailing out the banks, “Trump said on CNN: “I do agree with what they’re doing with the banks. Whether they fund them or nationalize them, it doesn’t matter, but you have to keep the banks going.””
The only loan of importance in this election is the margin loan from Goldman that Cruz hid from his FEC filing. It was not held against assets but rather a no payback period margin loan from the Cruz Goldman account of which his wife was an executive.
If you owe a bank $1000.00 and cant pay it back, you have a problem If you owe a bank $1,000,000.00 and can’t pay it back the bank has a problem!!!
So you’re saying that if a bank donates to Cruz it means they agree with them but if the Donald donates to democrats, it’s okay because he’s just buying them off so he can make more money.
You do that doesn’t make any sense. Every democrat Trump gave to did not have anything to do with New York or his company.
that’s your opinion.
Trump’s bank loans and his defense of bank bailouts with taxpayer money is very important.
Cruz doesn’t support using taxpayer money to bailout banks or nationalize banks
UM He works in real estate...of course he takes loans. Always use other peoples money. Doesnt mean hes owned.
Many a real estate investor has been bankrupt by bank loan calls. Trump is not immune. I speculate that their were bank loan calls that contributed, if not caused, his four bankruptcies.
Do you really think Trump would not intervene if he found out his empire could crumble while he’s in office? Would he just leave to the kids to sort out?
