excerpt from link above, “The family of Robert “LaVoy” Finicum issued a second, stronger statement calling the shooting death of the refuge occupier unjustified and accusing the FBI and Oregon State Police of a cover-up.

The family, who released the second statement Tuesday through its lawyer, drew its conclusions based on further viewing of the video released by the FBI last week and accounts of the shooting from Shawna Cox, a passenger in Finicum’s truck who was released last week.

Based on the video and two eyewitness accounts, the statement said, “what we believe the video shows is that LaVoy was being fired upon before he even got out of the truck.”

The family members said they believed Finicum left his white truck to draw fire away from the other three occupants, which included an 18-year-old girl. The FBI has been unwilling to release details of exactly how many times and where Finicum was shot.”

If the family has seen the body, all they have to do is look and see where he got shot. That should take about 2 minutes. Maybe that’s why they’re saying what they’re saying.

CNN fails to mention that the vehicle was shot over 100 times with 3 innocent Americans inside.We have yet to see any pictures of the truck, interestingly. LEO insist that they did not shoot at the truck, other than non-lethal flash-bang and gas rounds to disorient the passengers.

I don't think we know yet if they are telling the truth or not.

It looks like it could be a tear gas round exploding inside the vehicle, as much as the window being shot.

I posted this on another thread several days ago, Multiple witness statements are available now. The pickup was fired upon at the first stop and that is why LaVoy drove away.

On top of the murder of a man who tried to surrender peacefully since when is it OK for law enforcement to open fire on a vehicle with 3 people in it who have never showed aggression? That is not OK with me and the American people should be outraged. There is enhanced video out today that shows them shooting up the pickup with multiple rounds from all directions. It is only by the grace of God that these 3 people lived.

Shawna Cox was one of the victims of this aggression and excessive force. She was released from jail on 1-29-16, the same day her son-in-law died in an explosion. Pray for these Americans!

One other point LEOs put "spike strips" on the road in front of the roadblock ambush. Some of his loss of control of the vehicle may have been due to either hitting or trying to avoid these deadly booby traps laid out by LEOs.

actually we do know. Ryan Bundy was also in that truck and he was shot in the shoulder. Doesn’t that confirm they were shooting at the truck?

Please see/hear eye witness statements from Shawna Cox and Victoria Sharp. They lived through the so called “shoot out.” They are the missing audio, for the time being. When will the FBI admit they opened fire on 3 American citizens who had showed no aggression to them?

I suspect they will not admit it. They have claimed they did not shoot lethal rounds at the vehicle (or heavily implied it, perhaps leaving just enough wiggle room that they will not be accused of lying if the evidence comes out).

To me their story is extremely suspect because they have refused to release so much evidence, including other LE video recordings from dash and body cams, the recordings that this woman says she took on her phone, and any audio recordings that go with them. Also they have refused to give media and investigators for the family access to the truck.

How do you know it was before he was shot? There wasw no audio- and it’s very likely he had already been shot and could have been reaching to the pain-

This is a BIG deal. PATRIOTS ACROSS THE USA are organizing prayer vigils and holding rallies in support of the Finicum family, Bundy Family, Shawna Cox, Victoria Sharp and all the others affected by this.

That’s exactly what I’ve said right along- EVERYTHING he3 did was an attempt to protect those in the vehicle- He puts both hands out the window to show he isn’t holding a weapon in an attempt to make sure no shots are fired at them- this doesn’t work because the LEO’s apparently are out for blood- His vehicle was fired at in the first stop- He takes off in an effort to protect everyone- He races down the road trying to get distance away from shooters- He encounters a roadblock and instead of ramming it again tries to protect everyone by braking and veering off- His vehicle is fired on, He comes to a halt and jumps out of truck immediately and runs as far as he can from the truck in an effort to draw fire away- hence his words ‘just shoot me then’ hoping to draw all their fire his way instead of at the truck

What a horrible horrible situation the FBI turned this into- Had Finicum been black, NO shots would have ever been fired In the first place!

That makes sense. And after a bit of an uproar they might have felt pressure* to release at least something.

The video they released is probably the LEAST damaging one they have.

*I’m not really too sure they care much about public opinion. They just pretend to.
