I wish I could remember where I read stats on Harney County, I seem to recall that close to 50% were employed by gov.
If the family has seen the body, all they have to do is look and see where he got shot. That should take about 2 minutes. Maybe that’s why they’re saying what they’re saying.

A background article on the county was published by “OregonLive” or “Oregon Public Broadcasting” last month.
It stated 240 federal employees and 750 state and local employees in the county with total employment appearing to be in neighborhood of 2,000.
Only 7,400 hundred or so people live in the county, fifth least populated in the country.
Its economy suffered big when the logging industry was shut down some 40 years or so ago.
