You'll also want to remove these Windows 10 programs that are probably already on your PC. They are: 3068708, 3022345, 3075249, 3080149, 3035583. They're already spying on you like Windows 10 will do.
Is it an automatic download/install or just a download?
Windows 10 must be better at collecting our personal data.
Ugh... more FUD. Just change your Windows Update settings to notify of updates but choose to download. If you have your Windows Update settings set to “Update Automatically” you already have the 6 GB monster on your C: drive.
Is this turning into a property rights issue? I own my PC. I licensed Windoze 8. I don’t want spyware. To spy on my activities is a violation of my privacy. It is taking liberties with my ability to use my own PC, for which a license fee was paid by the manufacturer.
I have no intention of upgrading to Windoze 10 unless all the spyware “features” are removed. Period.
Why is it that supposed tech-savvy media cannot keep the fact that storage is not the same as what I call "bandwidth" (the amount of data shipped, rather than the exact meaning of data capacity)?
Still using XP, Slackware 14.2 is my next step. I’m done with Windows.
The Microsoft Borg. You will be assimilated! ;-)

Make sure to put the “KB” in front or the search function will not find these updates if you wish to uninstall.
Thanks for the Heads Up!
1. Click "Start" (you'll see Control Panel)
2. Click "Control Panel' (you'll see System And Security)
3. Click on 'System And Security" (you'll see Windows Update)
4. Click 'Windows Update' (you'll see Change Settings)
5. Click 'Change Settings' (you'll see Turn Automatic Updates On/Off)
6. Click 'Check For Updates But Let Me Choose Whether To Download And Install Them'
7. You're done.
This is all reversible, so....
Good Luck
I have Windows 7. If I wanted to know if these programs were automatically downloaded onto my computer would I find that information by searching the Control Panel home /programs and features/ install updates ?
they already did this to my wife PC, about a month ago.
had nothing but problems since then....the “upgrade”, so far, has caused the following:
messed up her wireless card drivers....had to uninstall and reinstall. (intermittent network connectivity)
messed with her power settings....constant error messages stating that her 65w power cord is not adequate, although it is the same one she has been using since the PC was new, with no issues
battery will not charge, as a result. battery was replaced 6 months ago. removed battery, still get power error messages
constantly kicking her out of programs..
none of this was in evidence before the “upgrade”
beware.

With GWX Control Panel you can: Remove the “Get Windows 10” icon that appears in your notification area, prevent your Windows Update control panel from upgrading your computer to Windows 10, prevent your computer from secretly downloading Windows 10 installation files, detect and remove the hidden Windows 10 installation files if they’re already on your PC, optionally monitor your computer for unwanted Windows 10-related settings and files- and beginning with version 1.7 you can now easily delete some hard-to-remove program files that are known to cause Windows 10 upgrades and annoyances.
