I sure hope not—I had really been hoping Cruz and Trump could have maintained the comity such that Trump/Cruz was the ticket. Truly I’d expect some GOPe/CIA plot to emerge doing in Trump if Rubio were there as his VP. (Not happening if the VP were Cruz!)

That’s his speakers at the caucus?

Wow. That’s stupid as Cruz would likely have gotten a Carson endorsement post NH.

The more I think about it, it is strange. The polls had Trump winning comfortably or at least ahead, the conventional wisdom had it that a high turnout was great for Trump and early exit polls had him winning. I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but something seems up.

Well, crazier things have happened. LOL

If that happens, I might actually nix my plans to move out of State.

From msnbc.com

Dr. Ben Carson and his campaign accused Sen. Ted Cruz’s team of foul play on Monday night, alleging that his supporters had convinced caucus-goers he was out of the race.

“I was reasonably happy today, until I, you know, discovered the dirty tricks going on – spreading rumors I had dropped out,” Carson said on Monday night. The campaign told MSNBC they’d had “confirmed reports” of Cruz supporters telling voters at caucus sites that Carson had dropped out of the race. MSNBC has not yet confirmed the authenticity of these reports.

“That’s the reason I got into this race, looking at the level of deceit and distrust going on in country,” Carson told supporters.

The campaign is pointing a tweet from Rep. Steve King, who endorsed Carson, as evidence. The tweet was sent at 8:20pm EST, when Iowans were already at caucus sites.

King was retweeting a report that the doctor was heading to Florida for a day. Carson said earlier in the night he was going home to grab some “fresh clothes,” but told reporters not to read into it. ...

Hillary is acting like she won the nomination as well. She barely escaped ... against a 74 year old socialist!

In order to keep peace of mind, I’ve only skimmed Iowa articles the last few weeks. Was it possible for Dem voters to vote for Rubio tonight? Pardon my ignorance, everyone, guess I could google it.

Yes. All they had to do was show up with ID and a piece of mail to confirm their address.

Currently there are 1,326 Democrat voters and 171,669 Republican voters. That is a 1 to 130 ratio. I can't help but to think "there is an app" for that. Something is very wrong.

That is why I say I don't believe in swarm behavior. There seems to be a different type of ground game going on.

Great summary CA. I had to go to a site to get it as I would have messed things up on my own.

http://www.bloomberg.com/politics/articles/2015-11-13/did-ted-cruz-actually-support-legal-status-for-undocumented-immigrants-

excerpt:

In a Judiciary Committee speech at the time, Cruz said his amendment would “remove the pathway to citizenship,” but that the estimated 11 million people in the country illegally “would still be eligible for legal status” so they can come “out of the shadows.” ...

Though Cruz’s amendment failed, Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions and Utah Senator Mike Lee, two fierce Republican opponents of legalizing undocumented people, voted for it. Democrats, who controlled the Senate, had made a path to citizenship a non-negotiable component of reform....

Stephen Miller, a spokesman for Sessions, noted in an e-mail that “numerous conservatives offered amendments to the progressive Gang of Eight bill that were designed to improve enforcement or combat amnesty.” He continued, “That does not mean these Senators supported the bill with those changes. That would be an extremely untenable interpretation.”

Trump said a few months ago that ‘he would look into it?’

What an endorsement..

Cruz has been pro-life all along. He did not have to look into it.

Trump will go with whoever makes him the better offer.
