Congratulations to Ted Cruz. He had a good ground game it looks like. I am certain that Trump will re-evaluate his tactics and adjust accordingly. He lost, but wasn’t blown out. Rubio hot on his heels. It was Air Game versus ground game. I would have liked to have been a fly on the wall between Trump and his Iowa guy.
I expect 2 weeks of Rubasms from fox News and other MSM outlets.

If Cruz can get Conservative Principle to trump (if people can stand me using the word) self interest in Iowa, imagine what he can do elsewhere!
Which is why I said conservative and not GOP.
I give Cruz credit for bucking the ethanol lobby. Don’t know of he can win the general, but it’s nice to see someone stand on principle.
5000 vote difference among maybe 100,000 voters between Cruz and Trump. in Iowa. Doesn’t sound like how the whole country will go does it?
All I heard about was Hillary’s ground game. Bernie surprised me by making it so close. He’ll crush her in NH.

Trump kept telling everybody that everybody voted for him in all the debates and he never lost any of them.
He failed to consider, only 40% or so had favored Trump, while 60% or so DIDN’t favor Trump. They just hadn’t figured out who to vote for yet.
Trump did not need Iowa. Iowa is weird.

You mean Cruz’s future is certain-—certain to be a bait and switch for Rubio. It’s too early in the campaign to say this is what will happen, because Trump will win NH-—but now Rubio may come in 2nd and solidify all the GOPe. But that’s where we are headed-—a switch out for the “extreme” Cruz with the “nice” Rubio.
But the Huckster’s voters won’t
I’m fine with Cruz or Trump. If I have to I’ll vote for Rubio. Congratulations tonight to Cruz, Rubio and Trump in that order.
It’s mostly the work of about 14 (people who claim to be) pro-Cruz agitators who are exceptionally insufferable. They tend to be exceptionally insulting and condescending.
The claim is that there are nasty people on the Trump side too, though most of the ones I’ve seen were mostly positive until the agitators really ticked them off for the last time. I’d probably be called one of the nasty ones, though I really do try to make my posts exactly as venomous as the ones I reply to.
And now, well... I have a bad feeling about this.
