No, actually you do not, no truthful look at Cruz and definitely no truthful look at Trump(I can not get over the mental gymnastic act you have to go through to think Trump is conservative or even Republican). What you do spread is hatred. I started out giving Trump a chance but people like you make my stomach turn now and I am having a harder and harder time giving him a chance. I will not even tell you the mental picture I have of Trump and followers like you. You and other Trumpites are turning people off, even people who were willing to look at Trump. Same with some of the Cruz people with their comments.

I have no idea about how any candidate would do vs Hillary. All candidates are going to have a rough time because this country is not the same country it was.

This Rube surge is baffling....and troubling.

I'm not baffled. Given the number of GOP voters for whom Trump is their last choice, he was probably going to have a max somewhere in the mid-twenties.

And given the anti-Cruz flak from all corners in the last two weeks, he was not well positioned to build a lead.

Someone had to capitalize, and it turns out to be Rubio.

Remember that the GOP electorate is not Free Republic writ large. I imagine that a third of the caucus goers could contentedly vote for establishment candidates.

Yes, I have been amazed all along that seemingly about everyone assumed that only Trump could pull in new or occasional voters and turn out a big crowd. That assumption seems to have been faulty.

If Rubio gets second here, he’ll win the nomination. The party will coalesce around him and Bush will be out before SC and FL. Then, Rubio and the GOPe machine will be in full force to win FL and ride that momentum. He’ll do quite well here if he has momentum even though he and Bush have been terrible in the polls to date.

Trump lost votes to Rubio.

Trump did well in a very evangelical state.
