Palin Hits Cruz for ‘Inconsistencies,’

Sarah Palin appeared on CNN this afternoon to explain why, despite endorsing him for Senate four years ago and being good friends with him, she dropped Ted Cruz for Donald Trump in the presidential election.

Tapper asked, "What tipped the scales?" Palin said, "It became a much less difficult decision once some inconsistencies started coming out about Cruz's position on amnesty, on building that wall and securing our jobs and our homes."

She even said Cruz would be "more of the same."

“Sarah, FYI, your candidate has flipped and flopped and done it again on just about every issue under the Sun.”

And she knows that!

If she had offered her endorsement to Cruz would you have liked that?

BTW when did you lose respect for Glenn Beck?

and thought that RINO Romney's position in 2012 was too extreme.

Speaking of people who thought Romney's position was too extreme:

"What Mr. Cruz has tried to articulate in both word and deed is a middle ground. It got no support from Democrats in Washington, but it goes further than many on the far right want to go by offering leniency to undocumented immigrants here already...

Asked about what to do with the people here illegally, however, he stressed that he had never tried to undo the goal of allowing them to stay.

"The amendment that I introduced removed the path to citizenship, but it did not change the underlying work permit from the Gang of Eight," he said during a recent visit to El Paso. Mr. Cruz also noted that he had not called for deportation or, as Mitt Romney famously advocated, self-deportation."

So which candidate claims he was always for deportation from the day he was born? Was it Trump or Ted Cruz?

She’s lying about Cruz and amnesty. She should be not only criticized for that but ridiculed.

The most prominent lie is that Cruz supports amnesty.

What do you describe someone who says that legalization of illegals is part of "common sense immigration reform"? A patriot?

When I pointed out that Sarah was wrong to back McCain’s re-election in 2010, folks defended here here almost 100%.

Now she endorses Trump, and the fury of Hell has been unleashed.

Trump is worse than McCain?

This is just comical.

“Palin endorses TRUMP!!! because of Cruz€™s inconsistencies??? What a load of crap. No credibility for Sarah.”

And I thought it was bad when she supported McCain for reelection but kind of understood that. I don't understand the Trump endorsement.

.. this is going off the deep end. Never thought I would see it from her, but anger and bitterness will do that in a person—that’s all I’m prepared to accuse SP of at this point...

Sarah said today that the only payback she wants from Trump is the payback for herself, for her husband and for her kid’s, when Trump helps makes America great. I know that is horribly selfish of her to want that.

And it is pretty selfish of you to make the “money” accusation when you are envious that Sarah is supporting another candidate.

And Im sure Cruz just copied Palin’s own Iowa strategies from 2011 as a foundation.

I think it’s really simple as to why Palin chose Trump:

Cruz was a Canadian citizen at birth and he has pretended to not understand the problem.

Which makes him a liar with dubious motives.

She should be not only criticized for that but ridiculed.

But criticism implies that you are pointing out a falsehood in some reasonable, logical manner. Just denying Ted Cruz's history in order to accuse someone of lying isn't criticism. It's desperation at best.

Maybe that is Trump's plan to staff his cabinet with former reality TV personalities.

And since a lot of his supporters like him because he's "politically incorrect" he should get the king of political incorrectness as his VP: Andrew Dice Clay!

She placed herself in the middle of it. She’s a politician just like Trump and Cruz and her gender doesn’t warrant her getting a pass.

""The amendment that I introduced removed the path to citizenship, but it did not change the underlying work permit from the Gang of Eight,"

You neglect to mention the fact that Ted Cruz said that was but a ruse to trick the Democrats into exposing their true agenda.

You know, the one that was not a secret to anybody.

Why can't politicians just admit they changed their mind for xyz reason...even if it's craven voter passions?

They'd sure get a lot more respect.

I described you as a liar. Palin as well. Cruz has never supported amnesty. Quote Cruz advocating for amnesty or admit you and Palin are lying.

Palin said, "It became a much less difficult decision once some inconsistencies started coming out about Cruz's position on amnesty, on building that wall and securing our jobs and our homes."

Hey Sarah,

Trump wants amnesty

Cruz is consistant on building the wall.

Trump blames Washington for our job loses, while Cruz blames the Washington cartel.

I'm so glad now, that Palin didn't run in 2008.

Notice half my quotes in this thread occurred after the gang of eight fight was over. So basically even if Ted Cruz was lying to you when he said in front of congress that he wanted "common sense immigration reform" for legalizing illegals, it does not square with his words after the fight was over.
