A week before Iowans met to caucus in 2012, polling suggested a slight lead for Ron Paul over Mitt Romney in the state. Former Pennsylvania senator Rick Santorum, who had been all over the state talking to voters, was in the single digits.

Actually I think there is a lot of credence in this. A lot of people don’t even know who is running because they are too busy watching Kim Shenanigans derrière on TV.

Nonsense. These self indulgent frauds just want the attention given to the so-called âundecided.â
Disagree about the nonsense part. Not an Iowan but I still cannot be certain which name I'd write on the slip of paper at tonight's caucus. Win/win between either Cruz or Trump.
As you can discern, I am not one of FR's many paid political operatives/posters.

But then you have not had 30 phone calls, 10 people stop by your house and seen 1000 TV commercials.

You are correct on all counts. I've been proactive this election season:
1. Cut the landline at long last.
2. Big dog in front yard.
3. Cancelled the cable TV years ago. (Record OTA shows on a PVR, skip ads.)

Ok. Each of us has the opportunity right now, before the vote is in, to take our prediction down to Starbucks, add in about $2, and get a small black coffee.

Considering how “strenuous” a caucus is compared to just voting, those are amazing numbers.

The late-deciders, like a crow, will follow
their impulse and vote for the shiny object.
The shiny object in this primary is Donald Trump.

Great approach. Particularly the big dog in the front yard. I still have a land line but never, ever answer it unless it is a social call recognizable by caller ID. And, of course, no visitors no matter what they want. (I did let the girl scouts come to the door yesterday. First non social visitor I opened the door to in about a year).

Trump did 3 events Friday, 2 with Jerry Falwell, Jr and both families yesterday and has 2 events today. Plus, I thought I heard him say that he was going to be at a couple of the caucus sites tonight.
I think I heard earlier that Cruz was going to be at a couple of counties today so he could complete the 99 county “Grassley” tour of the state.
The first Trump rally should start in about 8 minutes or so. Here’s the live thread:
