Donald Trump on Sunday repeatedly slammed his chief presidential rival Sen. Ted Cruz as a "total liar" as the Texas senator and his allies have claimed in the final stretch to the Iowa caucuses that Trump favors government-run, universal health care.
Cruz, meanwhile, pressed forward Sunday with the line of attack, proclaiming: "A vote for Donald Trump is a vote for Obamacare."
"Look, Ted Cruz is a total liar. I am so against Obamacare. I've been saying it for two years in my speeches, I'm going to repeal and replace Obamacare," Trump said on ABC's "This Week." "I don't even know where he gets this."
Trump on Sunday strongly pushed back at Cruz and his allies' claims that he supports government-run, universal health care, noting that he says in nearly each campaign speech he gives that "Obamacare is a total disaster" and that he would "repeal and replace" Obama's signature health care law with something "terrific."

Oh, so in your little feel-good example, the “indigent” actually paid off the taxpayers’ money. But Trump is NOT talking about debt here... he wants the taxpayers giving freebie healthcare to the “indigent”.

Why do you speak with such assurance that you are not even asking to see the proof?
I can dig for your exact remarks, but it isn’t on my immediate priority list. I know what transpired. And I thought it very odd that you’d be giving a bad report on Christians everywhere except where we can see it with our eyes right here and now. Like what was different in America which gives Christians, if anything, more private room to be bigots if they should wish? But instead there is a love affair — VOLUNTARY — towards Israel in much of American Christendom. For which you appear to be showing little gratitude with your reflexive attitude now.
I will, however, for the sake of making peace, take your current statement as a disavowal of any such notion, and make careful note of it should I see you contradict it again in the future. At that point I may ask why the change in position.
I would beg you not to buy into the equivalent of “blood libel” towards Christians. It behooves nobody to get into these vicious mischaracterizations. Not all history was the Spanish Inquisition, though rabbis with vested interests in making Christianity look as repugnant as possible may twist in this fashion.
You’re hoping for the best with your candidate too. Many people have doubts about him, and not with reason. Time will tell.

Because I know I’ve never thought, let alone posted, anti-Christian statements.
My earliest job was keeping Christian pilgrims safe as they visited their holy spots in arab-controlled areas of Israel, Judea, and Samaria. I happen to really like them and consider them good and earnest people.

It was an answer directly to me in which you said that, if you want to pick through it yourself for history’s sake. That would narrow it down. Thinking circa 2012. It sounded weird to me, because I was thinking wow, Christians have been beating up on Jews everywhere in the world that is not the USA, even in Canada or England? Yes, I have heard accounts about the Spanish Inquisition (which I have heard from other accounts was a time when there was Islamic infiltration into the church), and various local frictions in Czarist Russia, but what did Christians do in general that created that kind of impression? I wish I had asked more at the time, but figured you weren’t in a mood to discuss it.
