No
The only way for one to NATURALLY be a US citzen is to be born here of citizen parents.
No other possibilty.
If one is born with other possible citizenships, one cannot be a natural born citizen.
Born here of citizen parents.
Natural born citizen.
If one could be anything else at birth, one cannot be a natural born citizen.
Not saying Cruz is eligible but your answer is wrong.
Other than that vote Trump
What if your parents are United States Ambassadors living in the other country when you are born?
What if your father is an admiral in the Navy when you are born in a Panama hospital?
Then Trump isn’t eligible either.
The most germane theory I have seen is one Cboldt brought up. The US citizenship of Cruz is based on an act of Congress and therefore in principle could be rescinded by same (and in another analogous test case, was).
This is the thing that matters in the end.
Sweden could pass a law saying all people born in Minnesota get Swedish citizenship too, and it wouldn’t change the NBC eligibility of Minnesotans. It’s not who else claims you; it’s how the US claims you. If not even Congress could change that claim, then you are NBC fair and square.
Cruz is more than welcome to swim against this tide. But throwing support to Trump with some kind of quid pro quo agreement would seem to be the wisest move, to me.
Remember, you birthers are the same IQ-challenged illiterates who helped elect Obama in 2012.
In 2012, people observed your nutjob conspiracy theories regarding Obama - then assumed that Republicans in general were as dumb as you are - and then in consequence either stayed home on election day or voted for the Dems.
Now you’re doing the same thing for Trump that you did for the 2012 Republican nominee. Primary and caucus voters will observe that a great many Trumpers are effectively ‘tarded, then conclude that they don’t want anything to do with these people, and thus adopt an “anyone but Trump” voting strategy.
So keep it up.
It's current law...
No other possibility
Just because you wish it doesn't make it so.
The Founders could have easily specified that; they didn't.
No. If your parent is a U.S. citizen you are a natural born citizen.
Which makes these last 8 years all the more galling. No one except us ‘crazy right-wingers’ wanted to hear a word discussed about ‘natural born citizen’, and what it meant, in 2008. Disgusting.
