Oh, I see.
You're just ignoring posts that conflict with the fantasy in your head. LOL! :)
Look, why don't you run along and go read up on the material surrounding the case, and come back and spew when you actually know something.
They've already been arraigned in federal court, and charged, several days ago.
Exchanging posts with someone who doesn't know that simple fact is a waste of time.
Why don’t we wait and see what they’re charged with and see how much of it sticks?
Excellent post!
"Agent Bruno McBrutal Neanderthal"!!!
I saw Finicum’s hands come down. Twice. The narrative is, from law enforcement, that he was going for a gun.
If he were shot before his hands came down can you then admit that it was a bad shoot?
Kill 'em ALL (including the teenaged girl in the vehicle) and Let God sort 'em out! They are suspects and that justifies impromptu capital punishment. Of course, Oregon is liberal enough to have abolished the old-fashioned kind of death penalty, the one imposed after arrest, charging, discovery, trial by a jury of one's peers, sentencing to death by the jury, ten years of appeals and dozens of calls to the governor (in this case of Oregon an openly bisexual social revolutionary looney tune or if a federal case to Obozo)) just to make sure mistakes were not made. The kind envisioned by the constitution as (quaint phraseology warning) "due process of law."
Your theory seems to be like the Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland: Off with their heads! Then try them. Then charge them. I would rather live under the constitution, messy though it may be and frustrating to those with short attention spans.
When they realized they weren't going to be able to sell that particular load of pig slop, due to the 2-3 feet of snow they were all wallowing in, they had to come up with a backup narrative.
Of course, the NEW narrative depends on not disclosing the Ground Zero video tape, and its audio track.
Bookmarking. This is murder.
“Speaking of speculation, is there any actual EVIDENCE of carrying fully automatic weapons (such as AK-47s and the like) or RPGs????? Are the usual lamestream media suspects keeping this from us because they secretly support the Second Amendment? Are the federales keeping this from us because they don’t want to hurt the feelings of the grieving families. Have the feds indicated an intent to prosecute on firearms violations? No, No, No, and No! Things that make you go: Hmmmmmm!”
I don’t recall saying anything about them having full-auto weapons or RPGs.
I haven’t heard *anything* about what the Feds intend to prosecute them on. It’s ALL speculation on EVERYONE’s part at this point.
“Isn’t the story here that he came round the sharp turn, and drove into a snowbank to PREVENT hitting the officer? How is THAT assault. No evidence of any knowledge that the officer was standing in in the roadway UNTIL the deceased took the sharp turn and then he immediately drove into a snow bank to AVOID hitting the officer. What was he supposed to do? Go airborne? Use a transporter beam? This was certainly not battery (actual hitting) and was not even a minimal assault (threatening intentionally). That was being surprised by Law Enforcement in the Third Degree. Not a crime or even a civil cause of action.”
Did he plow into the snow to avoid the apex of the roadblock, or to try to go off-road around the roadblock? I did see a cop jump out of the way...I thought at first he’d been hit, but apparently not.
“Legal authorities are not a different and superior species of human being. The badge is NOT a license to kill. They are not 007 whatever they may imagine.”
They are required to apprehend criminals/suspects, some of whom don’t want to come along quietly. This sometimes puts them in situations where they have to use their weapons.
“Were those in Finicum’s vehicle occupying the nature center or ANYTHING OTHER THAN A MOTOR VEHICLE on a public highway at the time when this atrocious incident occurred? No.”
Were they violating any traffic laws? Is that how citizens are pulled over on Oregon roads? No. They were being pulled because of the occupation of the wildlife refuge. If somebody is wanted for bank robbery, but they drive carefully, does that mean the cops aren’t going to pull them over?
“We ought to care a LOT MORE about our constitution and its bill of rights rather than what the Feds THINK (if they think) they are doing. Unless you don’t mind waking up in a police state.”
I concur. My original intent was to criticize Mr. Finicum’s thought process where he believed he was going to be allowed to drive between point A and point B unmolested.
[Snip]
Now you’re just being ridiculous.
And for the record, I am not, nor have I ever been a “Fed.”
I was a Federal Employee for some time, but I didn’t have anything to do with law enforcement.
I can’t tell exactly what happened. Maybe he stumbled in the snow? Maybe he was going for his gun. Or maybe he got shot and then his hands came down.
One things for sure. That drone footage is pretty much worthless as far as exonerating law enforcement. In my eyes anyway. It does, however, show that Finicum was not “charging” anybody.
The Red Chinese charge the families of those executed for each firing squad bullet. Think that's a good idea here?
The answer to your question is that public pressure, preferably national as well as local public pressure, best insures that coverups are verrrrrrry difficult. If I were one of the officers or agents AND I were genuinely innocent, I would have every interest in the integrity of any and all investigations, public and private. The widow should hire the best civil attorney available, a real star of the Gerry Spence sort. We ought not wait some interminable time while the administration in true Clinton/Obozo style stonewalls, manufactures evidence, comes forward to claim any complaint is political and by the time the Congressional glacier moves an inch, all of this will be called "Old news! Nothing to see here!" Like Benghazi, Fast and Furious, about 30 cases of Arkancide, etc., etc., etc., ad infinitum ad nauseam.
I want my country back and I want it back NOW!
If the reasonable suspicions on this thread that SOMEONE is guilty of this shooting and that it violated the law, our brutal civil discovery process will ferret out anything hidden. No one expects the Spanish Inquisition but when sued civilly and hit with demands for answers to interrogatories, production of documents and evidence, depositions under oath (like the one that got Slick Willie disbarred for lying in the Paula Jones case) they get to see that the Spanish Inquisition was preferable to our system of discovery. It is discovery that will force settlement and force career-ending terminations. Jeff Sessions is a former US Attorney. I would LOVE to see him open hearings before his Senate Judiciary Committee.
It has been suggested above by someone else that "private contractors" killed Finicum and were retained by the feds to do the job. His killing does look like a professional hit. We have no evidence of that. IF discovery demonstrates such a connection, it will be Bastille Day as a result. That is, of course, pure speculation.

May the odds be ever in your favor!
They were there for blood. They weren’t there to negotiate. That’s why he was tased and killed while surrendering.
After Lavoy went down they tried their damndest to kill everyone in that truck for a few minutes until the rest of the cavalry arrived.
Supposedly he had a 9mm pistol in whatever pocket he was going for.
He was hopping around like his feet were on fire; hard to say exactly when he was shot. Honest men sometimes don’t realize that the cops aren’t kidding when they yell at you to do something “NOW!” It wouldn’t have been the first time that someone who wasn’t really a threat was killed in the heat of things.
One of the fundamentals of tactics is to try to see things through your opponent’s eyes. When your adversary is much more powerful than you, it is a must.
They've already BEEN charged, as I posted to you several times upthread.
As I said, you're just ignoring posts that conflict with the fantasy in your head. LOL! :)
Imagine if he had s bit more pigment
Portland would be burning right now.
The lame stream media...ABC, Public television, etc...said there was a “shoot out.”
I guess I’m old fashioned. I always thought a shoot out was where two opposing sides exchanged gunfire.
I guess today it means government goons opening fire on freedom loving citizens.
And shooting someone in the back? In the Old West, that was considered to be an act of cowardice, one of the worst things a “man” could do.
Fo shizzle
“They’ve already BEEN charged, as I posted to you several times upthread.”
All I could find was the one about Conspiracy to impede...
If they’ve actually been arraigned and charged with specific offenses, please point me to something. And don’t forget that they can continue to charge people with additional crimes as they see fit.
Next court appearance is Feb. 3 and an arraignment set for Feb. 24.
