He may have been reaching for a gunshot wound, not his pocket.
Cenveniently, there's no audio track.
Even though there appears to be a guy with a video camera 25 feet away, to the right, inside the group of vehicles.
So, like - where's the audio? Or is it too "inconvenient"?
In the full length unedited video, you can see the camera guy very clearly. Moving up and down, back and forth, trying to get a ‘good view’ while partially behind cover.
They setup a kill zone and flushed them into it.
Maybe not ... it's not supposed to "prove" anything
What it DOES do is SHOW !
It showed a figure in a cowboy hat get out of the drivers' side with it's hands in the air ... and a couple of fumbling motions that were too slow to be drawing on (the figure had done a 360 and knew the count against it) encroaching Feds
THAT'S what it shows
So.... there was no real reason for them pulling him over (so to speak) at the first intersection ?
I think the fact we have the drone video so soon after the incident is amazing. The rest will come out, but they’re in the investigation phase so it may be a while.
Without any other information, it looks like they pulled him over, then patiently waited with guns drawn , for several minutes without even approaching the truck, to give him time to panic and flee the scene. That then became justification for the high speed chase, roadblock, and speculated execution,
With as many shots as they seemed to be firing, and the flashbangs, it is amazing the other three occupants of the truck survived.
That's true.
It's also true that the drone video may lead people to jump to the conclusion of a "good shoot" - when what's definitive is the audio track of the action.
What is the time on the video at that point?
They never should have left the stop. One of the threads tonight mentions that they were being shot at and that the rear window of the truck had bullet holes. If true it might cause someone to flee. Also, Victoria Sharp who was in the truck with Finicum said:
“He put his hands out the window, he was trying to talk with them” “Ryan (Payne) said, ‘We have women in the car, let the women out’” “He stuck his head out and they shot at him... but they missed him.”
Sharp said that they began to realize that the police “meant business” and that Finicum, who was driving, yelled that he was going to continue driving so that he could “talk to the sheriff.”

Or like the guy that was shot at the Costco in Nevada (las Vegas?).
One cop shouting “Hands up, hands up!” and the other one yelling “Drop the weapon, Drop the weapon.” Almost seems like Lavoy looking/turning to see each officer. Like “Oh - well which one do I listen too?”
Obviously my own bias is involved.
Sad video.
Glad that the idiot that jumped in front of the truck seemed to survive okay.
The fumbliing motions may be Finicum grabbing at where he'd been shot.
Audio would tell us, but there's none available.
Even though there appears to be a guy with a video camera 25 feet to the right of Finicum, recording the whole thing.
I think they did so because they believe it shows that Finicum et al were pulled over, fled the scene, were stopped by a roadblock, an LEO was hit by the vehicle and the passenger 'appeared' to be reaching to his waist for 'something'. IT also shows the second person out tossing something into the snow. The only thing that would make sense is that it was a gun.
The evidence seems to be mostly on their side.
But why did they have to pull him over to begin with ? Was it to keep him from the meeting he was going to ? Did they pull him over, and then just wait instead of removing them from the truck, figuring they would soon panic and end up slamming into the roadblock ?
Absolutely true.
BUT.... why did they pull him over in the first place, and why was a FBI Drone following him way before he got pulled over ?
Bundy is wise to warn everyone off and leave it to them and the courts now
Look at 13:20 and on. There’s a laser scope being trained on LaVoy, mostly on his head. Where is it coming from? I remember reading that there was a sniper in a tree. Do they think he might be a threat at that point?
Not sure exactly, but it was about 2/3 of the way through (the full unedited version).
Thanks.
Never thought I'd ever use this word again .... pigs.
